I don't do a lot of mid depth (5-10ft) cranking, as mostly my crankbaits are super shallow squarebills or wakebaits. The only mid running cranks I throw are the yo zuri 3DB cranks, Rapala crankin/shad rap, live target pumpkinseed, and bomber fat free shad.

If im fishing submerged grass, I use the live target pumpkinseed and rapala crankin rap. If im fishing open water, i use them all.

If I had to choose one, I think I would choose the live target pumpkinseed, with rapala crankin rap at very close 2nd choice, mainly because in my waters, bluegill baits produce very very well.

Bandit 200, Wiggle Wart, good possibility the Berkley Wild Thang 8.5 is going to be on the list soon.

How good does a bandit 200 cast on baitcasters? does it have a weight transfer system?

I don't have any problem casting it on a 7' MH/M and 200E5 Curado. It does not have a weight transfer system (at least my older ones don't).

My favorite is not the bait I throw the most.  My favorite is a Big-O.  I have been using them for years.

You didn't define what YOU consider to be "mid-depth" but if it's 10-12 feet or so, then my go-to always seems to be a Deep Little N.

I have to say that the Rapala DT-6 is my favorite but I also like the Bomber Model 7A and the Bomber Fat Free Shad Jr. almost as much. If I had to only choose one then it would be a DT-6 and the color would be Smash with a first runner up being blue back Herring , and the second runner up would be old school. These questions are tough for me as I have so many that I use at different depths and different bodies of water or conditions, but again, I use the 6 more than any other.

Wiggle Warts...............I started 20 years ago with them, wandered around the woods using Bandits, SK series 3's, Rapala Dt's, etc in the meantime....and the last few years have found my way back to Wiggle Warts. I have picked up some of the new Berkley Digger's and Wild Thangs to try this year, but they have to do some business to unseat the warts from the starting lineup.

I just bought a few of the Big M cranks myself (all shallow runners).  Should be here in the next week or two.  I've heard really great things about his baits.

x2. I rarely fish a crank deeper than 6. I have boxes of mid range cranks that I need to give a fair shot but I just love throwing square bills. In my limited experience throwing the mid range depth, which for NE, I would say is 6-12 ft I would say the scatter rap. I have done very good with this lure, just as good as the livignston lures cranks that are double the price. I know a lot of people on this site don't like them but they work for me, and anything from rapala is a confident bait for me.
