looking for fishing buddy...

..Hello my name is Rick. I live in overland park,ks.   I fish as much as i can threw week and pretty much every weekend..if im not fishing local i have a very nice place too fish out of at table Rock lake..im looking for a passionate Fishermen like my self laid back easy going...that would like to meet up and fish..i have a jon boat local n pontoon at table Rock that can atleast get us on the water...im Really tryin to learn as well as grow a friend ship...i started last year really getting into bass fishing n crappie but i enjoy any fishing...please let me know if anyone is intrested ..n either place to fish

Welcome to the forum Rick! We have a very active group of members in your area and there's guys offering open back seats in their boats pretty regularly here;

I've very close in Gardner. There's several members in the OP/Shawnee/Olathe areas as well. Check that thread out and I'm sure you'll find someone that will get you out on the water.

First off thank you to every one that responded...and those that continue to..how do i find the member map? I read about it but can't Seam to find it.  And bluebasser86 i dont have to stay around op ks...ill drive go to gardner if ud be intrested i just really was share good times n learn from someone that's willing to to show me what im doing wrong at times, and so i can get better then i am, im self taught up to this point n i have a drive, patience and passion to learn anything someone Will share...I appreciate anyone teaching someone else to fish so we can keep Fishing going..that's another reason why i wanna get better so i can show my son how to fish better..im not talking about nightcrawler on bobber...i wanna learn n teach technique and knowledge on different aspects of fishing..

The member map went away for awhile but a new one will be replacing it eventually. A lot of guys list their location though. I have an empty seat in my boat a lot of the time but I only fish during the week, specifically Thursday and Friday right now. If that's not an issue, I have no problem taking new people fishing, as I've fished with majority of everyone that's a regular on the KC area thread. Only thing is you have to be good with dogs, because my Golden goes with me every time, and you can't be anti-police, it makes for a hostile environment in my boat. 

Like I said, if you follow and contribute to the KC thread for a little bit, someone will have an empty seat and take you out somewhere.

Yea i plan on sticking around on here meeting some people....but as far as your stipulations , im good with dogs..i am a dog lover i have 2 english bulldogs...but their inside dogs...they dont handle heat or cold very good....and for "anti police"....i have no problems with police...im a law abiding citizen, im all legal n i have several police friends so no bother to me. But i can see why ud say that because ive met guys like that....makes stuff intresting to say the the least....I normally work threw the week, but if i sat something up week or 2 in advance then i could probably do that...maybe in the future we can look into that possibly....I can't tell you thanks enough for your time and possibly fishin buddies in future...very nice of you...

Didn't you say there was a thread that i could maybe find other guys around opks...and maybe down by table rock?...i have a nice place to stay n dock boat at table rock if your ever intrested in hooking up n getting to know eachother, maybe make a weekend trip down or maybe a thursday friday trip down....??if your intrested

That is freaking great! Got a good chuckle out of both of those. Cass rules the roost in the boat FO SHO! I can only imagine the splash that would happen to a cop hater!

Nobody, but I just put it out there because I know there are people like that out there so I make sure new people are aware before I take them anywhere to avoid that awkward situation.

Yea ive seen those kinda people before n they dont respect others so u have to put it out there..i normally do get any problems from guys like that im pretty big boy ....im as nice and laid back as they come but i don't tell them that when they start in with their crap...lol...i like the idea of hand them a pool noodle tell them here have fun your rides over...

Hey guys , i figured this would be the perfect spot to find a fishing partnerto hang out with shine weekends n fish, but yet to have someone respond and say" hey man we all love the same thing im close to o.p.ks. lets go"..........which is really weekday i preyed for...i Really don't wanna go to any other sites because this I've it's really Right nit. And i really dont wanna worry about meeting a nut case..i know there's honest law  abiding citizens like myself that love to fish...here local..PLEASE TAKE THE TIME AND READ MY POST. It may help if you say hey I am going out on such date at such time at such place would anyone like to join me. It is starting to get into prime time fishing so  I am sure there will be plenty of opportunities to get together with someone. One last thing is it may help to chime in more on the local thread a little more so we can get a little better feel for who you are. I don't mind fishing with new people but I like to have a pretty good feel for a person before I just meet up with some random person from an internet site. Click on the link below. There is a great group of guys that are always fishing somewhere close to you.
