Catch 22 Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 The 11lb10 oz beast bettered the old record by exactly one pound. The old record10=10 bass from 2012 was caught and released back into the same water that todays catch came from. Same fish 4yrs later? The new record bass was certified, photographed and released back into the same pond again which is public. Kudos to the angler. The beast took a white spinnerbait. C22 7 Quote

BassObsessed Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 It's actually 11.1 but still a HAWG.. Yeah it could be the same fish . If not there's some good genetics in there. I live about an hour and a half from there. Quote

Super User kickerfish1 Posted February 21, 2016 Super User Posted February 21, 2016 Blade baits whether it be underspins, chatterbaits, A-rigs, or chatterbaits, are all good early and late in the year when other baits haven't "kicked in". Congrats to the young angler! Quote
Super User buzzed bait Posted February 22, 2016 Super User Posted February 22, 2016 that's incredible! and released back for another swim! Quote
clooney Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 So...What's the decimal point for 11lb 10oz? Quote
Turtle135 Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 9 minutes ago, clooney said: So...What's the decimal point for 11lb 10oz? 11 pounds and 10 ounces would be 11.625 pounds. So this bass was 11 pounds and 1.6 ounces (11.10 pounds) assuming I am reading the reports correctly. Quote
clooney Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 I verified...11.10 on that shops scale is 11lbs. 10oz...Certified by my states..Delaware..Fish & Game..Great catch AJ Klein!!! Quote

Just an awesome bass for Delaware either way! Quote

bassguytom Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Wow! That is really cool. I would bet that is the old record fish. There are not that many 10 lb. + bass swimming around up here in the north let alone in the same pond. Congrats to the angler! Quote
markinny Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 excellent catch.11lbs/ 4 oz. is the record in n.y. for large mouth bass. Quote
Super User everythingthatswims Posted February 26, 2016 Super User Posted February 26, 2016 That place is going to get pounded Quote
Catch 22 Posted February 27, 2016 Author Posted February 27, 2016 I stopped at the shop today to iron out the math in my head. Here is how they do it. The second figure equates to ounces=not tenths Maybe its a Delaware thing? Actually it the way the scale is calibrated. In my head a comma or dash should be written instead of a point. examples 11.1 = 11 pounds 1 ounce 11.5 = 11 pounds 5 ounces 11.10 = 11 lbs 10 oz 11.15 = 11 lbs 15 oz 11.16 = 12 lbs = which would show up as such on the scale. As for the lbs & oz thing, check here. http://mentalfloss.com/article/52058/why-are-%E2%80%9Cpound%E2%80%9D-and-%E2%80%9Counce%E2%80%9D-abbreviated-%E2%80%9Clb%E2%80%9D-and-%E2%80%9Coz%E2%80%9D Quote
