I have a lot of Falcon Cara and Lowrider rods. All but one are H and MH rods. My wife got me a XH 7ft T7 falcon rod for me as a surprise for our anniversary last week. So its not like i can say, "You didn't get the right kind". I am not going to get rid of it because i'm not a jerk like that... she had a good thought but i'm sure there is a use for an xh rod. I'm pretty versatile in bass fishing so i'm sure it is a good tool to have but when would it be good to use? Thanks.

Well, I have some Cara and Lowrider rods as well and like them quite a bit, no XH rods though. I suppose just like most XH rods that I use that rod would be good anytime you wanted to use a heavier bait, run heavier line, or fish heavier cover. See the trend here? Haha. Generally for me, a heavier rod in turns means a heavier fishing application. YMMV...

If you ever find yourself fishing in an area and think "I wish I had a heavier rod", that's when you need the XH.

Find out where she got it and just exchange for the version you want. Usually you don't even need a receipt if the tags are still on.

Otherwise it sounds like a swimbait rod ;)
