Catch 22 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 WX turned decent today,so I had to wet a line. Place # 1== half open ,but ice at the ramp # 2 == bad muddy # 3== tide water ,but a guy was anchored on top of my crappie hole # 4==iced up # 5==Lets go fishing. Clear water with 38 deg water. The bite was on right away with jerks . First 20 mins I landed 4 pickerel, one which had a 6" bluegill sticking in its gullet. Then 2 yellows, then a lmb # 16".Some of the hits were really vicious much to my surprise. I had to work a little harder for 3 more lmb and 3 more pickerel. The LC 100 took larger fish with Daiwa coming in second. No jig bite again. I have to wonder if the new moon had a positive effect on the bite. Its listed at 9:40 am which was the best bite?
