Last_Cast Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Hey guys, I was looking into the bass tracker, the Pro Team 175 TXW to be exact. I wouldnt be opposed to hearing about other boats either. If you guys know any good sites/ places to purchase a bass boat ( prefer to be able to get a loan) that would help. Thanks guys! Quote
Joespy Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I own a 2014 Ranger RT178 with an 75hp evinrude etec. I was at a boat show this weekend and saw the Tracker and I was so glad I got a ranger. I would suggest you do a little digging and look for another manufacturer. Doesn't need to be a ranger but wow. I won't go any further Quote
Josh_Bovaird Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I bought a tracker 175 and it was a decent boat, but I sold it and bought a Triton 176 magnum and I can say it blows the tracker out of the water in fit and finish, especially storage. Knowing what i know now I don't think ill ever own another tracker, there is way to many good tin boat builders out there. But if its whats in your price range and only option it will definitely get you out fishing. 1 Quote
Super User gim Posted February 18, 2016 Super User Posted February 18, 2016 I also bought a 2015 Ranger RT178. I considered the Tracker Pro Team 175 TXW and the Crestliner VT17 when I was in the buying process. I looked at all three in person more than once. I wouldn't completely discount the Tracker but I agree with the two previous posts in that it is an inferior boat compared to the Triton and Ranger. The once nice feature about the Tracker is the large, center rod box. Neither the Ranger or Crestliner offered this, as their rod boxes are on the port side instead. Both the Tracker and Crestliner have a nice, new feature that allows you to mount accessories to the gunnel that the Ranger does not, plus the Tracker is going to cost less, so there are selling points. If you're looking for a better built boat with more customizable options, the Tracker is probably not the best choice. Another item to consider is the service location of each in relation to where you live. Quote
