Super User webertime Posted February 17, 2016 Super User Posted February 17, 2016 I never asked about anything? I was pointing out the replacement cost (which St Croix sets at a level where they don't lose money)... is significantly higher for a rod that supposedly has the same blank as the cheaper one... the difference can't be due to the components alone. In case you weren't aware... the Rage is the same blank as the new Mojo.

What's being lost here is not if they are different or not, they are probably very similar. I prefer cork and ceramic guides and would choose the mojo. You May like the wire guides and neoprene handle and go or the rage. $30 maybe be a deal breaker. They both will be plenty sensitive for jigs. Thank you, will the 7 ft medium heavy fast mojo have a soft enough tip to cast 1/4 oz weighted soft plastics?
