you are quoting me again.  I asked you not to do that anymore.  Same  glue. same graphite.  same tapers same everything.  Oh your right.  It is a different color so its totally different.  Get real.  You take a rage rod,  put a cork handle on it,  different guides,  give it a lifetime warranty and call it an avid.  Now go away.

You aren't contributing anything at all and offering no basis for your senselessness. This topic has been discussed, at length, by professionals far more experience in this than anybody on here. The only reason the St. Croix rep told you the same blank is because "both are SCIII". He's correct about that but that's as far as it goes. The Avid blank is rolled here in the U.S in Park Falls, WI while the Rage blank is not. Common Knowledge for anybody to know. The Avid uses a different scrim, mandrel, and Fibers than the Rage. Again, this has been discussed before and you would know that if you bothered to search the topic. The Legend Elite and Legend Xtreme are both SCV blanks but they are not the same blank. This isn't a difficult thing to understand. Do some research. There's countless topics on this all over the net from people asking the same thing you're trying to proclaim.

Here's a quote from board contributor Mr. Hovenac who is regarded as one of the finest rod builders in the industry.  If you want to try to call him wrong, good luck with that one.

Are they using the same exact components?

There's no way this shaggydog guy is real/serious. He's either the greatest troll to date or Rick Astley just started bass fishing.

We have attempted to "dumb it down" as simple as possible providing information from a highly regarded rod builder that deals directly with St. Croix themselves and pointing you in the direction to further educate yourself without spoon feeding it to you. I don't know a different way to tell you how they are different. I've told you 2-3 times now. You are doing nothing in your favor by just saying "no, you're wrong". At this point, it's like we are trying to teach a quadriplegic to play soccer. There's just no way you aren't trolling us at this point.

Or its like trying to teach a clueless person about rods..

you have provided nothing of substance that I would value more than what the actual company has said.

I welcome the first person to actually give solid facts other than someone said its different.

I've only told you exactly how they are different twice now, Provided you with information on somebody that deals with the company directly and builds on their rods for his customers, and countless times have told you if you even bothered to use any of the Internets most basic means of researching information you could educate and eventually be aware of what everybody in here is trying to tell you.

Why would you believe what other people think rather than what the actual company knows?

smallie.mike have you not been reading this.  It is the same blank.  That is what they said.  Is that specific enough for you?

Did you not read the post by someone else that said he too contacted st croix and they said it wasn't the same blank?

My family owns property on St Croix.  Hence we are part owners of St Croix...  same name so it's got to mean the same thing, right?  And since I am a part owner of St Croix I feel the need to establish that I am in fact made of SCIII and my brother is too (same resins to boot!)...  seriously they are different rods...  completely different.  I have spoken with 2 Pro Staffers and a Rep in Wisconsin.  They are different...  they have 1 component in common...  that's it.

This has turned into a train wreck...  not your typical freight cars derailing in suburbia type...  the Pakistani type where there are 100's of people riding on top.  Just a big mess...
