Caliyak Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Senkos, creature baits for flipping, buzz and swimbaits. Where are you going? 2 Quote
fisherrw Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Deep cranks... Drop shot and don't forget a top water for the morning.. What lake are you fishing? 2 Quote
Caliyak Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 You will be fine with everything mentioned. Add frog for clear and delta 2 Quote
Super User J._Bricker Posted February 14, 2016 Super User Posted February 14, 2016 I was surprised a jig wasn't mentioned, but good to have on when fishing Clear Lake's rock piles. Maybe an A-rig and a Hitch colored swimbait. 1 Quote

Super User gulfcaptain Posted February 15, 2016 Super User Posted February 15, 2016 Forgot to mention lipless cranks. The frog and topwater of course are seasonal. Clear Lake, Lipless, squarebill, jig, swimbaits (6" hitch colored), and look into fishing the dock floats that are black when the water is a bit cooler on sunny days. Jinka rig and a creature bait work pretty good as well. 1 Quote

Super User gulfcaptain Posted February 16, 2016 Super User Posted February 16, 2016 Look into the Rago Mini BV 3D Pro either in the line thru option or top hook. It's a 6" bait, but you shouldn't have any issues fishing it out of a kayak. Quote
Airman4754 Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 You might have already went but a lipless in the north end hopping it off bottom at Clearlake is really good and you can find schools twenty feet off the bank, especially the west bank near Lakeport. You have to let it hit bottom every time. I can't stress that enough. 1 Quote
Super User WRB Posted March 20, 2016 Super User Posted March 20, 2016 Pompadour, dark red deep diving crankbait, hollow body frogs, swim jigs and bottom bumping jigs, spinning baits. 9" Upton's Customs.straight tail worm, 7' Senko's, 68 Hudd, 175 S-Waver in hitch, BD Shell Cracker G2. Tom 1 Quote
Shakes4000 Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Ok so gentleman here are my top 5 1. Chatterbait white- It works well in deep water and can be an awsome search bait for those active fish. 2. Lipless crankbait- Livetarget bait ball does well too. As well as getting the fish fired up during warm months. 3. Drop shot with worm or minnow. 4. Small craws 3-5in and creature. 5. Sorry this is classified beyond this point. Lol those should cover it mainly. Pay attention to cover and deep suspending fish and u will catch them all day. Quote
