How do you guys store your hooks? Do you leave them in the original pack and store them in a bigger plano ect. Or out of the packs and in a slotted box? Seen a video of a pro that leaves them in original pack then in plano so if it's raining or whatever and he opens the box to get a hook they don't all get wet and rust.

I keep mine in the original pack so there's no guessing what size/brand/type hook I'm getting. I have all mine stored in the step to the front deck of my boat along with a couple other odds and ends like my JJ's and Megastrike.

I don't take the entire package with me.  I only take a few hooks of each size.  I have 3 or 4 old medicine bottles that I write on with a sharpie.  I put the hooks in those bottles.

If your hooks are rusting because of a little rain ya need to change brands!

Mine are designed to get wet. ;)

I just keep them in my plano.

From now on I'll prob. be keeping em in the original packs.

Nothing like being out in the water and messing around with the hooks killing time.!

I keep them in a Plano 3601. Never had them move compartments yet. I cut a bit out of the original pack with the description, size, and brand/model number and put in the bottom of each slot.

I keep mine in a Plano 3701. I'll label the bottom or on the permanent divider what size hook is in each compartment. I also keep it organized from smallest towards the top of the tray and largest towards the bottom. I also throw in quite a few zera-rust tabs from Flambeau to make sure they don't rust. I also don't carry all my hooks with me. I have enough in there for a few trips and when it gets low, I will refill with my stash from home.

I keep the majority of mine in a Flambeau box with their Z-Rust dividers  Some technique specific hooks I keep in the package, but put it in a box with the baits.

I use the plano box for terminal tackle, it has labeled spots for 1/0-6/0 hooks as well as room for specialty hooks and packaged hooks.

In a drawer in my man cave at home.

I take what I think I will use for any one fishing excursion and keep them in a Plano tackle box in the boat.

I make sure all hooks are taken off the rods and are dry when I store them.

I try to keep them in their original packaging so I, as stated above, will know what kind they are.

Someone showed me the safety pin trick years ago and I've been using it ever since. It keeps your hooks from becoming a tangled mess and they're easy to get to.

I keep mine in old cleaned out herbicide bottles our co. used.I just wrote the hook size with a marker on it.They have threaded lids so the hooks stay dry and secure.

I have a few of the Falcon FTO 501 boxes.  Plano now produces a similar box, I'm not sure of the model number though.

Permanent dividers, latches on four sides and they're marked on the bottom for hook sizes if that matters.

Great boxes, highly recommend.
