Taking the family to Disney World in early April and as much fun as meeting Mickey is gonna be... I want to take a day to fish while I'm down there, I would love to get some fishing in on Lake Toho. I've looked up some guide services and they are definitely pricey (300-400 bucks for 4-6 hrs). Looking for some advice/info on guide services in the area, I'm active military so if you know of any military friendly places that'd be great also. Looking to see if anyone on here has used guide services and their experiences with them, are they worth it? Its going to be my first time fishing in FL and I'm more than excited for it haha. Thanks in advance for any information you guys send my way.

Check out my post in the Fishing Reports section.

Disney is OK to fish but of course, there are other places you can drive to have a good trip, too.

Cost is $455 for four hours on the Disney World canals.

You can rent a Nitro for less.

Ask for Captain Bill to be your captain if you fish Disney. He is a great guy and he will put you on bass and also keep you entertained.

Check out "Fishing Disney World" on the web for their phone number.

Have a Magical Day!

You can always just beat the banks of lakes and canals at Disney and do fine and save some dough. Use google earth satellite to spot out some places to fish. Virtually every resort has lakes or canals around them.

You can Pm me if you like.  I can give you some info on some guides for Toho that Ive used several times that are $250 for 4 hours and know the lake well.

Go to Turkey Lake right next to Universal Studios.  You can rent a tracker for 4 hours for 25 dollars and the lake is loaded with big bass.  They will also rent you rods and reels if needed.   I have done it at least 6 times and always catch bass, and have caught bass up to 6.5 pounds.  There is a topo map of the lake on line.  Have done well with trick worms, snapping them off the bottom about 4 feet, and letting them fall back.  This works great in the deep pad fields.   Throw  Senkos in the shallows, in the buggy whips.  Flukes casted in the inflow on the north side of the lake and then worked out.  Chugbugs at the cut between the north and south section of lake.  Rattle traps in the deeper water close to the drop off.  This is the best deal around anywhere.  This is part of the Orlando Park System, and the boats are donated by BPS.  If I stay in Orlando I fish Turkey Lake.  You need a reservation for the boat rental.  Good luck, you will need a license.

x2 on this....

I fish any water in Florida and there is bass in all of it. Best bet would be a Zoom June Bug Red UV Worm w/4/0 hook. I really doubt you'd want to spend an entire day fishing either, Disney is huge.
