mnfishing66 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Is it possible to mount your transducer to your trolling motor then turn it to view other area? Example: Trolling at slow speed (1-2mph) then turn it side way when stopped or slow and view the other 2 side? Would the Fishfinder be able to scan after you have turned the TM so you can see what's ahead and don't spook the fish. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted February 8, 2016 Super User Posted February 8, 2016 You can do that when sitting still so it acts like the 360 transducer. Takes some practice to get usable images. Imaging has to scan, so you cannot just turn the motor 90 degrees and leave it that way. Quote
Triton Jones Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 I agree with Wayne P. That is what I do. Quote
Super User Further North Posted April 1, 2016 Super User Posted April 1, 2016 Correct - you'd have to continuously turn the trolling motor to make it useful. I've run SI off my trolling motor for years...it works fine...but I won't be putting it on my new trolling motor as I can do all I need to do with Humminbird 360°. Quote
