These twerps can be a real fun distraction.  When they're on, THEY'RE ON.

Dude it was such a hoot. You can see what the down imaging looked like in @TnRiver46's post above. We were joking that it looked like his demo mode was still running.

I need to break something else on his boat, so that I can fix it, and parlay that into endless free rides.

I like to put the console unit in demo mode when I have a new non boater.

He was fussing about it being stuck in demo mode after we put in and motored up to our first spot. After watching a quick video about it I reckon he got it figured out. lol

Yeah. I think you've probably got enough fishy-looking spots memorized that it's not a huge loss.

This one decided to be rude and pooped all over me, the cooler, and the boat while I was getting it unhooked. That was just uncalled for.

Not a fish that swims that will unload in the boat quite like a white bass that's been at the all you can eat shad buffet for too long.

This jerk and a mob of his snaggletooth buddies shredded half a pack of my all time favorite, most effective, unobtanium and discontinued 5" JDM paddletail swimmers. Not very nice at all!

Trout season still in full swing. I have caught a limit of Brook Trout 3 times since the season opener. Today I was catch and release fishing. I did end up giving some of the Trout I caught to some fisherman that were not as fortunate as I was. Caught 9 before I went back to my car and got my new baitcaster combo. I tied on a 3/8oz Vibrax in-line spinner and caught 2 more. Then I caught what I believe is the NY state record crawfish ?

Didn’t get out til 6:30, but got 4 fish on the fist 4 casts . We had fairly non stop action until dark. Had cut bait out once again with no action, water temp up to 56 and might go higher as it’s predicted to slow down a bit for the first time in a while . Caught white bass, yellow bass, yellow perch, skipjack herring, and a smallmouth

Well, the only day I had to fish was today...which was right after a cold snap that resulted in an 8 degree drop in water temps AND it was a totally windless, bright, sunny, bluebird day. I only managed three bass and none were worth taking pics of.  I also caught these three guys that would not stay off of my lipless crank.  The middle pic is the biggest at 1lb 4oz, which is only a pound off of the biggest bass I managed for the day.  Sheesh.  I need to start eating them.

Big contrast in temps this week. I went fishing Wednesday evening and the high temp was 70 the last few days have been chilly and rainy. I was able to fish this morning as well. Here are some of the best fish from those 2 sessions. 22 Brook Trout all together. Kept 10 rest were released.

Very similar, but that appears to be a saugeye or sauger. The blotching on the side is a pretty dead giveaway.

Hmm I did not know that Saugers or Saugeyes lived in the Kalamazoo River. Either way though, it's a new species for me!

While Trout fishing today I had a rod setup with a Carolina rigged Nightcrawler for Brown Bullheads. They did not disappoint me.

The Trout were biting as well

I wish their was any species of catfish where I fish, their used to be bullheads but they were removed and replaced with trout that are stocked each year. I am not complaining about rainbow's but catfish are really cool

You know, I guess I never investigated but after your post and another member from somewhere, maybe MI or MN, saying they didn’t have blue catfish, I’m a little embarrassed. I just kind of assumed all 3 species of catfish lived everywhere, you know what they say when you assume things................
