Black Hawk Basser Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Took my boy out to try his new Seahawks themed rod ( @Glenn ought to think that's pretty cool) and 4 casts in he got this 21" walleye. Once again, he put the old man to shame. 7 Quote
wisconsin heat Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Caught some tank brookies while bass fishing with a 5" fluke. After I caught a couple I switched to the bfs rig and caught some more on some smaller lures, they were absolute savages that day! 12 Quote

I use to think the fish we have here that is actually a hybrid sunfish (bluegill/green sunfish), was a pumpkinseed. Turns out, there's no pumpkinseeds really anywhere close to here. They're a cool looking fish though. I love Redears, they're spookier than most sunfish and get way bigger. 2 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 26, 2020 Global Moderator Posted October 26, 2020 Water reached the magic mark to make the hybrids bite at the local city lake. I don't know why it works, or what it is about this one boat sized spot, but it's without fail every year. Missed a few more and caught a beautiful bonus fish. 9 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted November 1, 2020 Global Moderator Posted November 1, 2020 Went back after wipers Saturday morning before the sun got up. First cast, one and done, but it was a big one for a little city lake, almost 9 pounds. 9 Quote
lo n slo Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 hooked up with this nice blue cat last week while dragging a plastic lizard thru a brush pile. first i thought it was a big bass that had me wrapped up but then it began pulling the little johnny around. it didn’t take long to figure things out after that. she must have been well over 10 but i wasn’t about to bring that thing aboard to find out! edit: i bent the hook with the needle nose pliers. 9 Quote
