Took my boy out to try his new Seahawks themed rod ( @Glenn ought to think that's pretty cool) and 4 casts in he got this 21" walleye.  Once again, he put the old man to shame.

Caught some tank brookies while bass fishing with a 5" fluke. After I caught a couple I switched to the bfs rig and caught some more on some smaller lures, they were absolute savages that day!

Fly fishing at Silver Creek, AZ. Leech patterns and woolly buggers landed footballs all weekend long!

My Dad gave me one of his rods Friday. St Croix Avid 6’ Medium Light action spinning rod. I paired it with a Lew’s Speed Spin SS10HS for some Panfish action. I was able to catch some nice sized Pumpkinseed.

I don’t think we have Shellcracker, redear Sunfish in my area. We have plenty of Pumpkinseed. The lighting is better on this one so you can see the colors.

Gotcha. I don't know if I've ever seen a pumpkinseed in person, I was just guessing from the red ear

2 different fish for sure. I use to think the fish we have here that is actually a hybrid sunfish (bluegill/green sunfish), was a pumpkinseed. Turns out, there's no pumpkinseeds really anywhere close to here. They're a cool looking fish though. I love Redears, they're spookier than most sunfish and get way bigger.

Water reached the magic mark to make the hybrids bite at the local city lake. I don't know why it works, or what it is about this one boat sized spot, but it's without fail every year. Missed a few more and caught a beautiful bonus fish.

Went back after wipers Saturday morning before the sun got up. First cast, one and done, but it was a big one for a little city lake, almost 9 pounds.

hooked up with this nice blue cat last week while dragging a plastic lizard thru a brush pile. first i thought it was a big bass that had me wrapped up but then it began pulling the little johnny around. it didn’t take long to figure things out after that. she must have been well over 10 but i wasn’t about to bring that thing aboard to find out!

edit: i bent the hook with the needle nose pliers.

Glad to still catch something in November. Perch fishing with a worm and bobber. Chain Pickerel on a moving bait.

Little meatball of a rock bass yesterday at sunset on the French Broad.

Hit a gulp minnow sitting still on the bottom while I was picking out a stupid wind knot.

I’ll leave this here.  My fishing trip in Peru.  Best fish of my life.  Cost me $25 and a bag of Twinkie's.
