Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted November 2, 2023 Global Moderator Posted November 2, 2023 Got a skipjack along the work route so I set up some public dock catfish bait in the evening. Lost one and got one, a nice blue cat that was making funny noises 8 1 Quote

Super User Bankbeater Posted November 4, 2023 Super User Posted November 4, 2023 Until today I haven't really caught anything this year to post in this thread. This little muskie was all over a black and blue jig w/ a craw trailer. Of course I picked today to leave the lip gripper in the car. 7 Quote
JohnFromLisbon Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 Went fishing with a buddy on Friday after a few months without wetting a line. No bass, but we caught one of these I Can't Believe It's Not Walleye ®️ First decent size zander I've seen at 1lb 12oz. And because the Portuguese DNR considers them an invasive species, guess who has no thumbs and is now two decent fillets in the freezer? 11 Quote

Super User Team9nine Posted November 7, 2023 Super User Posted November 7, 2023 Bass are moving a bunch on my local lake and hard to pin down at the moment, but the crappie bite has more than made up for it. Picked off 150+ the past two trips with a lot of quality fish in the mix (12”-14”), plus I caught my first ever pickerel as well as a PB bullhead (18+ inches). 14 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted November 7, 2023 Global Moderator Posted November 7, 2023 Two PBs in one day for @Team9nine? Well I’ll be 1 Quote

Came right out of the middle of a brushpile. Had the net ready when this flat faced fish surfaced. Big letdown for a second, then I looked at it closer and realized, “d**n, that’s a nice bullhead!” Lol 😆 4 1 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted November 8, 2023 Global Moderator Posted November 8, 2023 Felt like @thediscochefout there……. these spot locking live scopers trolled across my cast , then I walked a quarter mile downstream, there they were again. They weren’t following me because I was catching fish, just making trolling passes over and over right in front of all the bank fishermen…….. tech is not just for youngsters I got a big ole skipjack as I was leaving, they got really excited . “Is that a crappie?” I said no they don’t make crappie that big . “Sauger?” Lord help them 8 5 Quote

Like why even have the boat? Put the dang clicky boi on a 20 foot stick and scope from the bank, save yourself a couple dozen grand 1 Quote

The wildest times are paddlefish season, I’ve been in my boat and nearly domed with a 6-8 oz sinker. I didn’t realize they had 150 yard surf casting capabilities 2 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted November 10, 2023 Global Moderator Posted November 10, 2023 Set out some cutbait for cats, figured I would cast a swimbait for bass while waiting for a bite. That’s what I get for thinking, catfish hit swimbait 13 1 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted November 11, 2023 Global Moderator Posted November 11, 2023 got one off the dock this morning before my wife dragged me to a fox hunt. Tally ho!!! 12 Quote
Super User Team9nine Posted November 11, 2023 Super User Posted November 11, 2023 Still having fun with the crappie. Caught 100 on Wed., then couldn’t help myself and cut my bass trip short by about 40 min on Thu. to catch another quick limit (20) before leaving. 13 Quote

That Milliken video from last night of the Pike biting off the uber hard to get JDM bait on the first cast had me laughing for about 20 minutes 🤣 I'd be scared to death to fish around those things. 1 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted November 11, 2023 Global Moderator Posted November 11, 2023 I can attest, pike bite thru your line way faster than gar. I think it’s the way they inhale the lure instead of clamping down on it 2 Quote
