Super User A-Jay Posted March 16 Super User Posted March 16 Big Fish Jeff just returned from what looks like an unforgettable trip to Colombia. Fishing for Peacock Bass on the remote Tomo River in the heart of the Amazon. 20 lb Fish are rare and saying they are hard to get to is a wild understatement. Congrats my friend. A-Jay 17 Quote
MassBass Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Limited out on holdover rainbows. Two on silver spoon, one on spinner. They were biting good in the south breeze. 15 Quote

Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted Friday at 03:39 PM Global Moderator Posted Friday at 03:39 PM Yes it’s a nice reel! The only thing I wish it had was anti reverse switch because I’m a backreeler but I’ve been using the drag and it works smoothly, has a pleasant sound to it 😂 It casts a mile with 6 lb mono, I’ve got a fairly whippy rod paired with it, which is also awesome for feeling that light “tick” of a bite on top of the long bomb casts Quote
Super User T-Billy Posted Sunday at 09:46 PM Super User Posted Sunday at 09:46 PM Them dirty nippers are messing with me!!! 😂 Six bites in six hours today, and only one made it in the net. 🤦♂️ She's an absolute chunk of a 34" though. 12 Quote
Sp33dSnake Posted yesterday at 02:41 AM Posted yesterday at 02:41 AM Walked to Taylor Creek, there are a lot of little waterways that go in and out of Lake Okeechobee. Since it's always Rattletrap season, I started throwing in a colorful one with a 8.2 Shimano SLX XT and my trusty BPS Tourney 6'6" medium fast rod. Within 15 minutes, I caught a fish, and was in Mudfish city. Catching something, is better than nothing....I guess. Now that I think about it, I've caught Nile Perch, Catfish, and Mudfish with this rattletrap...but no bass. Like, none. My lure looks like it survived the Ardennes in World War One now, but it still rattles..and still catches anything other than bass, lmao. 6 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted 3 hours ago Global Moderator Posted 3 hours ago Took my boys out for a few hours Sunday evening where a creek runs into the river. Everything gathers here in the spring but all we found were little channels and drum. Nice weather and the boys were having a blast chasing frogs and cranking in fish. 5 Quote
