black94gt50 Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 New to rod building, what is the go-to micro tip top you builders have the most confidence/success with? Most of my builds will be with alconite guides if Fuji or equivalent if going with another brand. I assume the Fuji bfcat alconite tip top is a solid choice. Will be building bass rods only for right now. Thanks in advance. Quote

Super User Jrob78 Posted February 7, 2016 Super User Posted February 7, 2016 I believe the BLGAT is the one I usually use. Either should work just fine though. Quote
Super User S Hovanec Posted February 7, 2016 Super User Posted February 7, 2016 I use BFCAT for repairs on conventional casting rods. For builds on spiral casting rods and spinning rods, I use the BLGAT. Quote

I've never seen those before. I like the foot added to the tube. I'll check those out when I build a bigger bass rod. Quote
