Seaguar tatsu is the best I have found. I don't dwell on the worst.

I have used Berkley Vanish the past couple of years and really like it.I know a lot of guys dont care for it but it has always held up for me.Were i fish it is really rocky and never had a problem.

I'm not a fan, I had a bad experience with Invisx. Haven't tried another brand yet. I've had good luck with P-Line CX.

P-line 100% and sniper are the two I like the best.  Lots I haven't tried.

With floro, for me, it's all about manageability. Tried Vanish years and years ago, it turned me off for a long time. Then I tried invisx and a couple of others, still no luck. Now I'm on to trying Tatsu for the first time this coming spring. So we'll see.

Seaguar Invisx for me, 100%.  I have had a spool of 12 lb. on for several months now and have not broken anything off.  The line isn't nicked up at all after dragging structure for months, and I am getting great hooksets. It seems to have virtually no memory, either.  I do try and put line saver on after each weekend of fishing, so I guess that might help.  With all that said, I was testing the line last night and it did break off at the knot with a pretty good tug...but I re-tie each night, or on the water, anyway.  It's basically 1/3 of the price of Tatsu...which I would purchase if I felt like Invisx wasn't a high quality product, but as things stand I can't justify it.  Along those lines, I have a spool of $8 or $9 Vicious 10 lb. fluoro (from Wal Mart) on another reel which hasn't given me a lick of trouble, either...and I use palomar knots exclusively!

Sunline Super FC Sniper! I like it better than most because of the smaller line diameter than most FC on the market. Not by much but some is better than none! I'm sure Tatsu is a very good FC but I can't picture spending double the price point if I'm very pleased with the product that I have no issues with. Personal preference!

Best would be Sunline Shooter and Seaguar Tatsu. Sunline FC Sniper is pretty awesome stuff for the price though. 

Worst is without a doubt Berkley Vanish and Stren Fluorocast

Shooter and Sniper are what I prefer to use. Red Label 10 lb or under is fairly good for the price as well. Invizx is crazy stretchy under 15 lb test but it has its place.

I've seen more than one poster down on Invisx.  If y'all don't mind, what is the issue(s) you are having, or have had, with it?  I literally have caught maybe 100 or more fish on a spool of 12 lb. and haven 't broken off, I like to think I have a pretty good strike-to-catch ratio, and there is zero memory.  Just curious...

It seems to me that most manufacturers have a few different formulas of fluorocarbon.  Usually with one being rather supple and manageable while being a bit stretchy.  The other being a less manageable and having reduced stretch.  Invisx seems to be the stretchy variety and abrasx being the stiffer.  I like the invizx in the earlier colder seasons because it remains manageable and the cold seems like to make less stretchy. However when it warms up the amount of stretch becomes an issue.  This is usually when the stiffer abrazx is the better option as the heat seems to make it more pliable.  That being said I don't like switching lines all that much and now run braid to fluoro on most of my rigs.

I'm a Sunline Sniper fan.  I have 8lb on my spinning reel, 12lb on my jerkbait rod and my open water spinnerbait rod, and 14lb on my main jig rod.  It handles well, has good abrasion resistance, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.  I've been experimenting with 20lb Assassin and have been pleased with the results.  25 extra yards, a couple $ cheaper, and seems to perform very close to Sniper.  I need more time on the water with it to give it a total passing grade.  

I also use 12 lb Sunline mono for crankbaits will good performance. 

The only fluoro that will NEVER go on my reels again is Seaguar.  I've had nothing but trouble with all of their fluoro's and will never use them again.  Far too many breakoffs and not worth the headaches.

Tried a lot of fluoros, Red Label is what I use and prefer. I never tried Tatsu

I use FC Sniper and Seaguar InvizX for freshwater and surf/jetty type of saltwater fishing.  Both brands have performed fine for me.  FC Sniper I tried because of all the recommendations I see on every fishing site message board, InvizX I tried because I stocked up on spools of it when Sports Authority was clearing it out at 50-75% off.  I also use Berkley Vanish in 2# for my trout leaders and I've had no breakage issues with it, if anything I've been surprised at how well it's held up against the little trout teeth - back in December I landed a 6.5# trout after playing with it for 20+ minutes on 2# Trilene mono mainline/2# Vanish leader.  I've also seen a lot of negative feedback on Vanish but almost all of that seems to be with the early formulas/batches of Vanish where it was brittle and there were lots of reports about breakage issues.  Berkley seems to have fixed those early issues.

I'm another guy who has had good experience with Berkley Vanish. Can't complain.  It's worked just fine for me. Had lots of problems with Sufix Invisiline, and currently having similar issue with P-Line CX Premium. It's a shame, cause I really like their Floroclear (Note: I am aware that they are both fluorocarbon coated, and not true Fluoro.)

Something is wrong there.  I understand not liking the performance of Invisx re: too stretchy, or what have you, but like I posted earlier in the thread, I have caught well over 100 LMB's, spots and an 11 lb. striper on the current reel I have spooled with 12 lb. Invisx, and I have not broken off *one single* fish...not one.  I tie with a palomar exclusively, which people repeatedly say not use with fluoro.  No issues whatsoever.

Been using BPS flouro for years and being the cheap skate I am, I only buy it when it goes on sale.  Beginning next Friday, if you buy two spools you get one one free.  I have always found it to be very reliable and castable and it sure takes a beating on the Potomac river.

Why does something have to be wrong for me to have failures with InvizX?  Maybe I got a bad spool or something else happened but either way, Seaguar will not go back on my reels. 

I used 8lb and spooled it up on my Symetry 2500 and Duckett Ghost. 3rd cast of the day with a shakey head I got bit.  Set the hook and the line broke.  I was using a san diego jam knot and never had a single problem with this knot or the reel with sniper 8lb or XPS 8lb.  The line was not damaged either.   The abundance of stretch, lack of abrasion resistance, and overall issues I had with InvizX makes it one of the few lines I avoid. 

I also had problems with their mono.  I put 8lb Seaguar mono on my mom's sahara 2500 and after 2 trips over the course of a week I could hold the line between my hands and break it with no effort.  Not acceptable.

One I haven't seen mentioned yet is Toray. Expensive stuff, even more so than Tatsu, and not easy to find, but very good line, especially their SH Upgrade. I like Tatsu a lot, also. Never tried Sunline, but it would be the other line to make my Top 3 list based on everything I've read and researched as "best."

Lots of other less expensive "good" fluorocarbon lines I've used. Haven't found any that were "worst," though I have heard all the Vanish horror stories like everyone else. Seems like the one spool I tried worked fine - just have more confidence overall in a lot of others. Why take the chance?
