I've been really bad (or good depending on your perspective) this off season about ignoring the rod monkey in my head. He has talked me into buying the following:

1) 7'6" Dobyns Champion Extreme spinning medium light

2) 7' St Croix Avid X medium fast casting rod

3) 7'7" Daiwa Zillion crankbait rod

4) 7' Dobyns Fury 705CB medium

5) 7'3" St Croix rage medium spinning rod

I know....I know...maybe 4 too many??? What's your favorite in the list?

Hopefully you're getting these on sale. No need to pay retail in February, though I am hearing of some open water in places. Solid rods for St. Clair though, depending on what you throw.

The BaitMonkey didn´t "get" you, you´re not had until you have actually purchased the stuff only then you are got, otherwise it doesn´t count.

How do I insert pictures? I'm not tech savvy enough to figure this out.

I was mistaken about one rod. The Rage is actually the Avid Neo which I got half off from the St Croix website. But I think it's basically the same as the Rage.

Drag the pic and drop it in the box or choose the file from your PC and upload it.

I bought another IKE rod a coupe weeks ago. 7' medium, 70-5. I'm all set with what I have now. 9 rods are enough for me to catch as many bass as my ability will allow!

How does that zillion feel in hand?  I'm in the market for a 7'6"-7'11" 1/4-3/4oz crankbait rod and that's one I've considered.

Wow.  Forget the rods..................those are a couple nice fish.  :D

Congratulations on the new rods.  I was at a Sports Academy today for the first time.  There were a few rods I wouldn't have minded taking home, but managed to dodge the Bait Monkey.  Mainly because 4 new reels have been delivered to my home the past 5-6 days.  The 7' Medium Medium-Fast Crucial is a beautiful looking rod, and is an action I only have one rod in.  Good thing there was no sale going on.

How about some reviews once you get a chance to use those new rods?
