New to Jacksonville area. I've always fished on Toledo bend and Sam Rayburn in tx and la not used to the pond fishing around here. It's tricky cus everything's private property or posted signs.  Can anyone point me in the right directions on some places to fish. I have a little bass raider so I can get off the bank. Live by the airport. Not looking for anyone's honey hole or anything. Thanks everyone!

There are some fish management areas around that are open to the public. I haven't had great success at the couple I've been to, but I usually have kids and dogs with me, which isn't helping. The link below is old, but with google I've been able to find every lake mentioned. Good luck.

N Florida Mike, if you have other suggestions, I'd love to hear them if you don't mind sharing.

Osceola forest has pits, ponds, water everywhere. Big fish too! Buy a mapping system, whether it's electronic or paper doesn't matter ( I prefer paper ) study it and go gather your own data, keeping notes all the way.

Doctor's inlet has pristine bedding areas and big fish. ( St. John's River ) Kingsley lake, Circle, Black Creek is a option..check Orange out & see if lochloosa has rebounded from its many sink hole drainage issues. ( about 3 hours from Jax. ) Talk to local baitshops, ( in person ) gather Intel, & support them..

That should hold you for a few years..

Good luck & stay safe..
