Scott Martin and Glenn May are probably my two biggest heroes. Brandon Palaniuk and Michael Iaconelli are up there as well.

And heck, I'd go out with any of ya'll. And have a blast.

Dare I say mentor ? if so, I don't think you could have picked a better one, what a great bass club to be associated with.

You see the name Larry Nixon and it leaves you in awe, I see a guy I grew in the sport with.

My first thought actually went to Mark Zona but I don't know what to make of his appearances like at the Detroit fishing show.

What did he do at the Detroit fishing show?

You did say famous bass fishermen right? I was a little confused by some of the responses. I would also pick my son, IF her were a famous bass fisherman, but he is not. Famous fisherman? Bill Dance hands down.

Well if I could fish with anyone for a day it would have to be my dad, he has been gone 13 months. The man taught me everything I know about fishing he was a boat Mechanic for 35 years and at one point t in time worked for Rowland Martin at his marina. He was 2 tourneys away fromantic the classic. Man what I wouldn't give just to fish with him one more time..

Spence Petros.  I had a chance to do just that 30yrs. ago, but there was a death in the family and I had to cancel.  The man is a fountain of information, not just on bass fishing but fishing in general. Many an angler has learned important lessons from mentors such as him, sadly the only ones I did were from his informative articles.

Going to go old school here and say Virgil Ward.  When I was young, I use to watch him on TV after we got home from church.

I would say Bill Dance, watched him on TV forever. To me he is just a down home type of guy.

Greg Hackney. He is from my neck of the woods and my favorite Pro fisherman. He also fishes the way I like to fish, would be really great to get to fish a day with Hackney.

Heck if I know anymore. Used to think I'd pick a
celebrity or two...but these days, I'm not so sure.

Come to think of it, probably Hank Parker. Nobody
trash talks as much as he does.

But I have to second @GonzoFishing - Larry Dahlberg
would be my "not-in-the-USA" guy, hands-down.

I'd fish with Pee Wee Herman if he could solve my deep fishing issues!  I'd even do Pee Wee's little dance dance on the back deck!  Lol
