I am really interested in making my own tackle especially jigs I have already bought the mold, hook, weed gaurd. I have just about everything i need except something to melt and pour the lead, I am going to mostly make jigs a 1/2 ounce and lighter but i also want to be able to pour 3/4 ounce jigs also what should I buy?

the smaller lee melting pot should be all you need. I do 1 oz footballs all the way down to 1/16th finesse stuff. will hold approx. 10lbs of lead, however for good pours i would only fill it 1/2 full at the most. Lead will stay hotter that way.

Head on over to TackleUnderground and search there (and here) about pouring lead. Lead can explode if you get ANY moisture in it when it's hot. Over at TU, they have a list of all the suppliers where you can get your products. Do It Molds seems to be the standard for lead pourers, but I have no experience on the subject (just researched it a lot when I wanted to pour jigs and my own soft plastics).
