Jig Fishing With Copolymer?

Hey, I've mainly fished fluoro with jigs but I'm starting to like pline copoly for many applications. Have you guys used it for jigs? I'm thinking of going with 20lb copoly for jigs, any thoughts

Copolymer line works well for "contact" baits. I used YZ or PLine CXX for years with good success. I use fluorocarbon now for this application, but would not hesitate to use copoly again if I needed to.

I use 20lb pline cx premium for jigs and soft plastics....no issues but im going FC this year

Perfectly fine. My go to is Izorline xxx and YZH in 15lb. Not sure how manageable 20lb is but give it a shot.

I have been wondering this myself lately. I use copolymer for cranks. What is sensitivity like with copolymers for bottom contact baits?

I'm a huge fan of fluorocarbon line and use it almost exclusively when not using braid. I spooled up copolymer this winter not only on moving baits , but on my bottom contact baits as well and am happy with the performance. The colder the water the more ( brittle ) fluorocarbon seems to get. At least that's what I've experienced. 

Copolymer has a better resistance to cold water conditions than fluorocarbon, and for me is a better all round preformed than monofilament.

I can't make the switch. I use braid with fluoro leader on all of my jig rods, and for most of my finesse fishing.

I tried YoZuri Hybrid on a spinning rod once for small jigs, and it felt like I had a rubber band between me and the jig. Went back to braid immediately and was able to feel every slight tick on the bottom. Fluorocarbon is marginally better, but doesn't outperform braid in my opinion (and it's more expensive, doesn't last as long, etc. etc.)

The hybrid lines are great for leaders, and for fishing anything with treble hooks. For jigs I like zero stretch, and braid fits the bill. Use a leader if you're worried about visibility. The copoly would work well for that.

My last outing of 2015 was a good jig bite. I was using 12# mono. Didn't notice much of a drop off from higher end flourocarbon.
