damian19s Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Any recommendations for a drop shot bait for very clear water? I think I'm going to try the bento minnow, any other baits though? What size hooks? Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted January 29, 2016 Super User Posted January 29, 2016 One of my favorite baits for drop shotting in clear water is the Yum Warning shot. I like Watermelon candy on sunny days, and green pumpkin on cloudy days. I nose hook them on a VMC #2 spin shot hook. Quote
RyanFishing Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 My favorite drop shot bait is the Strike King Dream Shot in ghost shad and dirt. They have a great action especially with the shape of the tail. Quote
Zach P Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Straight tail roboworm gets the nod from me. Has never let me down. 4 Quote
Heron Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Lunker City Ribster in maybe their "clear water" color. Jackall cross tail shad Quote
Super User gulfcaptain Posted January 29, 2016 Super User Posted January 29, 2016 Kietech's 3.5 Swing Impacts and the 4" Live Impact are both great dropshot baits. Use a #2 hook most of the time but have dropped down to a 4 before if needed. Quote
Ads7633 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 KVD Dream Shot in Watermelon has been my best producer. Quote

lecisnith Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Bassresource member A-jay steered me towards the Rage craw. First time out you'll know why. I've caught 4 times as many fish on the Rage craw than anything else. In very clear water. Quote
Super User Catt Posted January 29, 2016 Super User Posted January 29, 2016 Another one for Roboworm Sculpin or Fx Worm in M,M. III Quote
chadmack282 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Another straight tail roboworm vote! Quote
blckshirt98 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Molix Sator Worm in either Watermelon Gold Shad or Seducente, nose hooked, size 4 or size 2 hook. Trust me on this one. Quote
aceman387 Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 A couple of my favorites are the zoom centipede and gambler shakey shads. Quote
benzmech Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Can't go wrong with the good ole roboworm. Don iovino worms on a drop shot also catch a ton for me but roboworms are my favorite Quote
Super User everythingthatswims Posted January 31, 2016 Super User Posted January 31, 2016 Zoom Z Drop is my #1 Quote

wisconsin heat Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Berkely powerbait Twitch tail minnow. Also, YUM's new 4 inch dropshot worm, the one with the cut tail; the bass tore that up. Quote
