Bass newb Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I need to have a piece of polycarbonate or aluminum machined to accept these two round gages on the left and then another square-ish hole one the right for this fish finder that I have. Short of going to my machine shop and asking for this work, does someone do this kind of work? Pictured below is the panel that I'm trying to replace. Thanks Quote
eddallen Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Check with newwiremarine.com. Those are generally done on a CNC machine. Won't be cheap. 1 Quote
Bass newb Posted January 29, 2016 Author Posted January 29, 2016 Thanks for the link. I thought about it and staining some wood and then slicking it up with some outdoor polyurethane would be the quickest and easiest way to get what I want. 1 Quote

I'd be willing to pay up to $300 for a machined version, made out of a stronger material. My wood version won't be very strong, but it'll get me started right off with my 73sv unit until stronger provisions can be made. Quote

I will add that anyone with a quality CNC machine can your panel because of it's simplicity. Check your local phonebook. Quote
Bass newb Posted February 2, 2016 Author Posted February 2, 2016 This will have to suffice for a few weeks or months. ..however long it takes me to get it done right. 4 coats of outdoor polyurethane make it look shiny nice. Quote
Cmiller Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Give a local plastics place a call, or ranger boats. I have heard they have excellent customer service. 1 Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted February 9, 2016 Super User Posted February 9, 2016 Looks pretty good. If you give Ranger a call, I'd think they could sell you the blank of what you had and you can cut the pieces out like you did on your plywood version. Quote

Thanks, I did this and they had a blank for $34 shipped so I bought it! Great service. 1 Quote
