I was recently looking at the Diawa tatula mh rod and was wondering what others thought about it compared to other rods in the same price range like the abu garcia veritas? and others like it. I will be using this rod as an all around fishing rod, primarily jigs and worms. it will be paired with a Cabelas verano reel.

Check out the Tatula XT and the Abu IKE rods. Both have the Fuji ACS reel seat which I prefer.

The St Croix Mojo II is going to be similar in price and likely has the best blank for the price point.

Most reviews I've seen of the Tatula are very good. Check out Sportman's Outfitters online store. They have the Tatula on sale right now for $119 with free shipping.

Wow!!!!  Nice.  Wish I could find a deal like that.  I did pay less than $100 each for 2 of my Tatula rods (new) and an even $100 for another (used).  I like the rods personally.  I'd be forced to buy a few more at that price.    Sure hope you took advantage of that deal.

I have the old Tatula rod vs the older Mojo series and between the two there is no comparison. Tatula is lighter and feels better in hand.

I have a couple of the Diawa Team rods. I like both of them. I use the 6' H for pitching under and around trees/branches and the 6'6" MH for just about anything between 1/4 and 1/2oz other than crank baits.
