Unless you have the skills to remove that gas tank options are limited. Best you can is remove the current battery trays and swap them with a dual 27 and a single 24. Somewhere on this forum there is a great pic of the setup.

kjfishman, Thank you for that. Why wouldn't, Tracker, install the weakest, cheapest components on their FLAGSHIP, TIN CAN Right!!!!!!

First time, I put in water to break in the Mercury 90, 4-stroke.

1: Fuel gauge didn't work ! (took back to BPS)

2nd time the speedometer didn't work !  (took back to BPS)  , didn't know that, BPS/Tracker, meant: KIA.....

It's paid off, (weak wiring, electronics, batteries,TM, and etc.) Now, I hoping, I have a good hull and Mercury out-board?

Question: Thoughts, on hull and Mercury 90 4-Stroke? Or is, that cheap crap also? Meant Design wise?

I was thinking, of using the $40,000.00 I saved, by not buying 69K Phoenix or Basscat, to trick this " Tin Can " OUT!!!!!

Because, after re-wiring, re-designing compartments to accommodate Hydro pumps, batteries, storage, I will be talking like a Pro, when I order my second boat that, BRAND NEW BASSCAT, That will only need "Beer" and fishing gear.../dynamite.....

Thanks, for helping on my money pit....

Sounds like buyers remorse. In Trackers defense, most people do their research BEFORE they make purchases. Tracker markets to budget minded individuals who don't have the big bucks to spend. That doesn't mean their boats are junk, they just don't have all the bells and whistles. Tracker sells more aluminum boats and Mercury motors than anybody. If they were junk, they wouldn't be in business.

There is nothing wrong with their hull or the Mercury sitting on the transom. Take care of the motor and it will gives you years of reliable service. It came with a 3 year warranty, follow the service schedule outlined in the manual. As far as the hull, Tracker comes with a pretty good warranty. Don't beat the pizz out of it and it will give you years of service as well.

No Remorse, I researched new v/s used, for like over a year. I didn't know what a, Ranger, Phoenix, or Basscat. was.  After that sticker shock, surfed Craigslist, meeting guys, that were ready to up-grade, and were selling. After hearing, their pride, in, what they fixed and replaced on the rigs they were selling.

What I learned was, Man, I'm out of my league! That Tracker 5 yr.( bumper-to-bumper ) warranty and name recognition was why, I bought new, coupled with the fact, that didn't have to order.

I'm having a blast learning, all this and interacting with guys like you. Thanks for everything.

No, I just thought The flagship of Tracker "Tin Boats" guts/inners . Would or should be able to accept up-grades, without completely re-wiring the whole boat and re-configuring everything. I like re- inventing the wheel. Keeps me busy. (Mind, Body, Spirit)

Glad, I have met up with folks like you, that, take the time, out of their lives,to help others.

As always Thanks,

Worm Man your absolutely correct as a new boat owner (any brand/make ) you shouldn't have all the problems you've had , No new boat is cheap whether it's 70,000 or  7,000 you deserve a boat that works right from the start .. It sounds like crappy quality control.. I owned a little Lowe Skorpion that was a nice little boat ,I traded it in and purchased a Lund waiting to take ownership and can tell you one thing I've learned with buying new , If it's not right it gets parked at the dealership until it's right or they can have it back ,period........

Thanks carlm01, Don't get me wrong. Bass Pro shop service department has been nothing but, Excellent !!!

Never side stepping or fast talking, even bumped, my repairs ahead of others, that were in work bays. They moved, like 8 boats out of the way to fix, my boat, before my trip to South Carolina, the next  day. Told me factory, air power grease gun setting was off, that's why trailer rear bearing seal were blown out. Took care of it.

I was always told, and tell me children: If man makes it, It can break down.

I love my Tracker, it's an aircraft carrier, and looking forward, (with ya'll help), to making it equipped, with all high-end components, that will not need to be replaced, after my learning curve.

Great stuff

Well the next time you go in and buy a boat have a plan of what you want, what extras to add, and what platform(boat you want).  Test the boat, yes tell them you want to run that boat in the water. Then you can see what works and doesn't even if it is new.  If you don't like it then move to another model.  Once you figure out what you want, you factor all that in and have them do the work and let them take their time (mine sat at the dealer for a month) to set it up for you.  From the time I looked at mine to when I signed the papers was over a 2 week period.  Left a $500 deposit (fully refundable) to hold the boat, gave me time to think about what I wanted to do as well as test run it, look over it a few more times and then sign and let them install all the extras.  Some were already in the sale price,(loan) others were add ons after, but just paid prior to picking up the boat.

Hind sight, 2020, They did offer. I ended up, putting $500.00 deposit on two boats. (Late, 2, they had in 2014's) One was 90hp 2-stroke and second was the one, I ended up with 90hp, 4-stroke.

Bass Pro Shop, great place with very helpful staff. That I mean....

All I wanted, at that time, was to be able to stand and cast. Under $70,000.00.

I bought the biggest/lonest of their line of aluminum boat, Nitro Z-9 was first choice, but after looking at the one used one they had for 32K, thing was not cared for by previous owner.

Didn't think, I would want, all the bells and whistles. I caught, a lot of bass, being the worm..5" black and some Costa Glasses.

.After 3-4 months of using it on the ponds and lakes, started finding guys, like you'll, that already knew, what was good, better, best on rods, reels, lures, tackle, and boat up-grades. Know, now what overload means.

Great info, really NEEEEEEED IT!

Thanks, for all your input.
