CABASSIN1 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 whats your guys favorite soft bait company and soft bait from them ? Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted January 26, 2016 Global Moderator Posted January 26, 2016 There is no way I could pick a single company. Maybe for just one certain style, but not for all kinds of plastics. 4 Quote
DCales84 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Berkley and Zoom are my go to companies due to cost. Both brands offer good values and are easily sourced. I'm a big fan of the Berkley Havoc line up and have done well with all the baits that I've tried so far. I really enjoy fishing Zoom toads as they are durable and a blast to catch fish on. If I had deep pockets I would prefer to buy all Strike King or Yamamoto but.... that wont be happening anytime soon. 1 Quote
S. Sass Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Well just using my go to soft bait companies Mann's for their Jelly Worm Zoom, Netbait, Strike King (Rage Tail baits) and Zman for numerous baits. Aww darn I couldn't stick to one either. 1 Quote
Fishinthefish Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 If I had to pick a single company it would be a coin flip decision between zoom and biospawn. Zoom offers more options, but I love the quality biospawn has for it's limited array. Quote
ACORO Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 If I had to choose a single company I would go with ZOOM. Gotta love the Fluke and Finesse worms. 2 Quote
Super User Catt Posted January 26, 2016 Super User Posted January 26, 2016 Favorite soft bait company? Rage Tail! Favorite bait from them? Rage Tail. 1 Quote
Buckeye Ron Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I'd have to go with Yum for their ribbon tail worms, money minnows, and craws. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted January 26, 2016 Super User Posted January 26, 2016 I fish with a lot of different plastics from different companies. Hard to narrow it down, but my favorite type of plastic to fish with are creature baits. I usually always start out with one on my line. Quote
alzun664 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Berkley Havoc Pit Boss is easily my hands down favorite. I mostly use them as a jig trailer but you can do just about anything from topwater to punching with them. They have a ton of colors and at 2.99 per pack they are very hard to beat. Quote
Super User scaleface Posted January 26, 2016 Super User Posted January 26, 2016 worms Manns lizards Zoom craws Larew tubes Gizit 2 Quote
tander Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I probably use more Zoom products, good products for a reasonable price. 1 Quote

So many great companies making great products, not to mention everybody's opinions, desires and preferences are different. I'm just glad the pricepoint on most plastics is low so I can experiment without breaking the bank. Quote
FloridaFishinFool Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Berkley. swimbaits, worms, creature baits... I was sorting lures just the other day and noticed about 50% of what I have in stock is all Berkley. Next would be Zoom and Culprit among others like Mann's... Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted January 26, 2016 Super User Posted January 26, 2016 I use mainly Berkley, both the Havoc and powerbait lines, and Yum. I have yet to find one company that makes everything I would want /need. 1 Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted January 26, 2016 Super User Posted January 26, 2016 That'd be super tough to narrow it down to just one company. I have quite a stack of favorite baits but a they all seem to come from different companies. If I did have to pick just one though, I'd probably have to go with YUM. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted January 26, 2016 Super User Posted January 26, 2016 Welcome aboard! Agree with others that it's tough to nail down. For me, though, in general, I use mostly Bass Pro Stik-O and Zoom worms, but by no means are they the only companies I use.... Quote

Zoom for the Trick Worm - I like the Reaction Innovation Flirt Worms, too, but they's crazy expensive Net Bait for the Paca Punch - incredibly durable trailers which mimic crawfish very well Big Bite for the Cane Thumper - great paddle action, pretty good price point, durable as hell YumDingers - Senko style; why buy anything more expensive?? MIbassangler30 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 If I had to use only one brand, it would be Zoom, for their wide array of baits, cost, and durability. I obviously enjoy buying and using many different baits by various companies, but if I had to settle on just one, I would be confident throwing Zoom exclusively. Quote
Jaderose Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 While I have and use different stuff from all the major players, most my soft plastics come from small producers. I particularly like a little company outta Butler Missouri called Sure-Fire Baits. You'd have to look them up on FB. They make a 7" ringed ribbon tail worm in a real craw pattern that I'm never without and I've caught a ton of LMB's on T-rigged weightless or on a swing head and slather up with Mega Strike. Plus...with most of the little guys, you can get any color combo you can dream up. Not knocking the big guys.....I just prefer to give my money to a guy I can actually talk to and that I know is fishing with the same stuff he makes. 2 Quote
Super User Cgolf Posted January 26, 2016 Super User Posted January 26, 2016 While I mostly agree that it really is tough to choose one because I use many different brands, here are my 2 favorites and why. Z man - just started using them last year, but am really stocking up on them this year. The fish really bite the Zinkerz fished ned rig style and with the built in buoyancy of the plastic they snag up less when fishing shallow rocky river streches, which I do over a hundred days a year. So for this type of fishing if I can catch fish and lose less baits, it is a win for my pocketbook and the river system. Netbait - Love the paca craws, finesse worms and slim shakes. These are cheap, great colors, and they catch fish. Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted January 26, 2016 Global Moderator Posted January 26, 2016 If I had to chose it would be Rage and Reaction Innovations. Again IF I had to choose. Mike 1 Quote
MissouriMark Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Lots of great soft plastics available. Just recently bought some baits from Jaks Custom Baits. Hand poured, unbelievable color selection, great quality, and very reasonably priced. He has a beaver style bait called, "The Beast". Can't wait to throw it this spring. Also very fond of Zoom, Reaction Innovations, and Net Bait. Quote
seyone Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I probably use more Zoom plastics than any other. Great price and they cover just about everything I need other than a senko style bait. I especially love the super fluke . The stick/ senko style Bait, I have always used A-baits trick sticks . Quote
EricTheAngler Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Zoom and yum for the budget minded angler. Quote
