I participated in your poll - but I'll add this.

Concerning yourself in what others are throwing may not lead to your best success but learning when, where, why & how to fish a jig certainly can.  The results of this poll, whatever they may be, could be misleading.

There is more in the one thread posted at the top of the "Fishing Tackle" forum and linked below.  It contains a ton of the kind of helpful information one can learn from and apply.    Jig fishing threads are in the hundreds here.  Lots of Good Stuff on Bass Resource.

I chose other, Green, Purple, 18+ and rocks. My buddy makes a mean stand up-football jig hybrid that I fish in Green, Browns and Blacks. I like to lace the Greens and Browns with Purple accent strands. I picked 18+ because that's what I fish most of the year out here anyway in the man made canyon style rocky reservoirs prevalent out this way.

How and where you fish jigs depends on the where the bass are located.

Color Nationally is predominately black with blue high lites.

Pitching jigs to shore cover should also be predominate, that is how the majority of bass anglers fish, targeting shoreline targets.

very few jig anglers actually fish deep structure, I know becuase that is where I fish, usually with no other boats in sight.

I cast jigs and prefer using black/purple/brown hair jigs with a pork rind trailer in 1 of those colors. Depth range varies seasonally with the most productive range 12'-18' on average.

Favorite jig type for me is definitely a casting jig in PBJ with an Electric Blue Pit Boss trailer and I'm mostly throwing them around rocks. Second favorite would be a swim jig fished through grass or weeds in more natural patterns like bluegill or shad with a matching Zoom Fat Albert Grub.

This year I really got into the swim jig thing. Took me a bit to learn the teqhniques, but towards the end of the year when the 3-6 ft range was too weed choked for cranks they were all I threw.

I am partial to Santone jigs, the swim jig has a flat bottom allowing it to stand up. I fished them as a swim jig presentation and a more standard bottom hopping retrieve too. For me I just picked up colors that mimicked bluegills and carp and that served me well this year.

I am surprised by the numbers so far, there are a lot more people fishing rocks than I had thought originally. I guess I have a stunted perspective because of home lakes, but I rarely find fish on rocks, they are almost entirely on lay downs in my lakes or in submerged vegetation. But as far as the colors go I am unsurprised.

I am sure very few anglers flip, most pitch using the reel.

What is flipping;) The lakes I fish with flippable cover are too clear. I really wouldn't want to get in that close with the boat. A good roll cast works most the time. The lake I hit the most has many flats and little to no flippable cover even though the water is nice and stained. It is probably something I should learn, but sadly probably never will have a chance to use it.

Last year I caught more bass on a green jig than any other color.  Most of the bass were in the weeds, or holding just outside of the weeds.

I really struggle answering these types of polls!

My favorite jig is Terry Oldham's Eye Max but I have other brands in my jig box

As for colors I have 3 favorites; black-n-blue, black neon, & coontail (matches Rage Tail's Falcon Lake Craw)

I'm a jig fisherman

I throw jigs from bank shallow out to 30'

I throw jigs in every type of cover & on every type of structure

I throw jigs during every season of the year

I throw jigs both day & night
