TbendAngler Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Hello to all, This forum is always interesting to read, so I thought I'd join the ranks! I'm a fairly new angler, my home lake is toledo bend, which I've lived 10 minutes from my whole life. This past summer I purchased my first boat, a 2013 Tracker Pro 160, and got addicted. I'm currently enrolled in college pursuing a bachelor's in Business Administration and afterwards a MBA. My strengths are treble hooked baits and jigs, weaknesses would have to be finesse and flipping and pitching. My PB is 6.10. I look forward to learning loads of new information on this site, which I already have! Quote

Super User Sam Posted January 24, 2016 Super User Posted January 24, 2016 Zwolle, Louisiana. Would that be in Sabine Parish? Don't recall any LSU football players from Zwolle but we have had some good ones from Deridder down the road. Great having you with us and even better that you have a Tracker. Be sure to post your Toledo Bend results out of your Tracker. You will be out fishing the guys in the Rangers, Bass Cats, Skeeters and Phoenixes. Catt is the leading expert on Toledo Bend so look up his "Do You Want to Learn Toledo Bend" posts. He is a great guy and he will give you any help you ask him for. What college are you attending in that neck of the woods? LSU-Alexandria? Or Northwestern State in Natchitoches? Either way, get that degree! And remember three things when on the water: 1) That Natchitoches is the oldest town in the Louisiana Purchase; 2) you need to wear purple and gold when fishing; and last but very important 3) yell Geaux Tigers when you set the hook!!! Welcome to the Forums. P. S. Enjoying any crawfish, lately? Quote

Welcome to the Forums. P. S. Enjoying any crawfish, lately? Yes Zwolle is in Sabine. Zwolle is too small for a football team as of right now, but the school is growing so maybe in the future we will, we have a killer basketball team year after year and have had a couple players move on to the college level. My Tracker definitely has its limitations on the big pond but it comes in handy in very shallow water. I'll keep everyone updated on my success and struggles. And I attend Northwestern State, proud to be a Demon! And no, I haven't gotten around to any crawfish yet, it's definitely on my to-do list. Thanks for the warm welcome! Quote
Super User Sam Posted January 24, 2016 Super User Posted January 24, 2016 Don't forget your purple and gold cap!!!! Looking forward to your posts. And I had a Tracker. Gave it to my son and he loves it. I have a Ranger now which would be perfect for Toledo Bend. Quote
TbendAngler Posted January 24, 2016 Author Posted January 24, 2016 Sam, I'll probably keep mine forever, use it when the waters down or when the fish are moved up shallow. I may step into something bigger next year or the year after, for right now my little tin can floats and fishes just fine. 1 Quote
