bigbrotae Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Denver Aurora Lakewood Thorton lake/pond suggestions? Quote
BuckMaxx Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Chatfield is OK. Aurora has some ginormous Smalley's in it. All our lakes are small out here easily fished from the bank. Go ask this on Coloradofisherman.Com some of the Denver guys would have a better idea of ponds in the area. For me if I cant put my boat on it I don't fish it 1 Quote
AND ANOTHER ONE! Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 best lake in thornton is hunter's glen 128/Washington. We happen to be the resident champs at the lake the last handful of years we've lived there. There are LOTS upon LOTS upon LOTS of aggressive bass in that lake and MANY other species to provide a wonderful bass haven. It even has gigantic catfish, plenty of bait fish all in the rocks year round, deep tractor-driven channels throughout the lake, great setting and it's a great place to get noticed. Last year at first thaw (jan 19) we caught over 150 BASS all around the lake in one day! People saw us and the biggest fishing boom at the lake began (in terms of people). Of course it slacked off once the novices realized that it takes more than watching someone else do to enable yourself to do it. Come on out, we're usually there every afternoon.....ya know once the ice melts! 1 Quote
