Hey guys im new to bass resource but i have been looking at the feeds for a while. Anyways im looking for a swimbait rod and to pair with a shimano cardiff 300a. I would prefer a st.croix but im open to other options. Going to be using swimbaits under 3oz and would like a rod under 8ft. thanks

I have & really like the Okuma Guide Select Series Big Bait Casting Rod

Look at the 7'11" Med Hvy   GS-C-7111MH

Thanks!!! I mainly fish okuma reels but dont have any rods. I'll look into them     A-Jay

Take a look at the swimbait rod thread by Deep on this page.

The newer Okum A series Giude Select is another choice, Irod Gen II series swimbait rods are excellent, both balance well good with the Cardiff 300 series reel.

I have the st croix 7'10" LTB swimbait rod which works great for 1-4 oz baits.  I have even been able to go lighter with no issues. Haven't needed to go heavier.
