The order was submitted Saturday for a 1875 pro v bass xs. The dealer told me 6 weeks. Dual console, deluxe trailer, fortrex 112, (2) helix 10si, and (2) 10' talon, 200  verado. I was originally going to wait a few months but between the quoted price and the additional $900 Lund cash (expired 1/31) I pulled the trigger. It can't come soon enough!!!!!

Congrats ~ You Must be very excited.  I'm planning to get with my dealer the end of next week.

The Lund Cash deal was pretty sweet.  I'll be looking to utilize the Military discount myself.

I am very excited. The dealer called me this morning, Mercury issued a bulletin. Use of any bracket that uses the mounting bolts for the motor will void the engine warranty, so no "sandwich" brackets for mounting the talons. Not a big deal because they can mount directly to the transom. I just would prefer to limit the amount of holes in the transom. I hope a solution is in the works for the fiberglass boat guys.

The mercury bulletin isn't new and i believe the wording is "may" void the warranty. I have a talon mounted directly to the transom of my lund. Just make sure its sealed well

Make sure your dealers give you the current mercury promotion. 2 extra years of warranty. Also Minn Kota has mail in rebates for trolling motors and talons

Perfect! Do you have the tilt brackets? I'm not sure if they are worth the $$$. Thanks!

When i get home ill post pics. Yes i have the tilt bracket and security locks. The top of the talon, in its upright position,  sits about a foot higherthan the motor. You may need the bracket  to get in the garage or to go under low bridges.

If you're really dead set against mounting directly to the transom, get a small jackplate and put the brackets in between that and the hull. Plus you'll gain the benefit of a little better performance as well.  Congrats on your new purchase! Looks like it'll be a sweet ride.

Also congrats to @A-Jay  on your soon to be new purchase! A black one would match that truck of yours very well!

Congrats on the boat selection A-Jay. I've been looking at the same thing. I currently have a Lund 186GL w/175 Opti Pro XS. Love the boat and the big water capability, but a bass boat platform would suit my style better. This new Lund looks like the best of both. I do have reservations though about going back to aluminum after being in a glass Lund for the last 6 years...

Here's the pics. This is an 8ft Talon of the older style. The boat is a 2013 Predator 2010 with the IPS2 hull which is the same style hull as the ProV Bass. Because the way the tilt bracket is designed, the lever will dig into the top of the transom if you don't use a spacer. You will need to put a spacer in between the tilt bracket and the transom. Minn Kota recommends using their 6" setback bracket. I used a cutting board. I hard wired the talon to the battery but Minn Kota sells a quick disconnect plug to make it easier to remove from the boat. If you travel with the boat a lot and are worried about the places you stay, using the electrical quick connects along with the quick connect bolts, you can have the Talon off the boat in a minutes time and bring it in the hotel room with you. The standard mounting bolts allow the talon to come off in under 5 minutes which is why I purchased security locks, which are similar to wheel locks. The Talon has been on the boat since 2013

Thank you for taking the time to post the pics, I appreciate it! Now I have 6ish weeks to get the old one gone. I think the quick disconnect will be the way to go for me. I travel with the boat a bit so it would be nice to disconnect for piece of mind. I ordered matching locks for the remainder of the storage that isn't lockable. I have a prestige custom trailer under my current Lund, it's been flawless for the past 10 years. I hope the "deluxe" Lund trailer holds up well as it doesn't look as well made.

Nice! What did it all cost and who did you order it from?

NIce rig!

...and a good price, IMO.  Looks like I could get it well under $40K without much problem as I'd keep all my existing electronics.  It's good to have options.

It'll be even better when they start to show up on the used market.

Good luck with that. In 4 years, I've seen maybe 1/2 a dozen Predators come on the market, 1/2 of which were tillers. Once these start showing up used, they're gonna get scooped up quick.

They'll be out there.  They always are.  All it takes is diligence, patience and a ready checkbook when you find one...and it only takes one.

Don't know if any of you get this in other markets, but on Fox Sports North this morning there was an episode on from the show "Lund the Ultimate Fishing Experience."  This week's episode was FLW pro Jeff Gustafson fishing out of the new Pro V Bass 1875.  Looked pretty sweet !

I picked up my new 2016 1875 Pro-V Bass two weeks ago. The boat is outstanding! I live in central Texas, and tournament fish all over the state. It turns heads down here when guys see it on the water. Mine is the bench set version. I put my Lowrance HDS units on the boat. Mine has the 200 Opti Max on it. I have not really opened it up since the motor is not broke in yet, but it will move for sure.

I too saw this boat at the Minneapolis Boat Show in January.  I wish they also would have had the Crestliner PT20 for comparison.
