At least that's what I was told if I don`t pay up with a prepaid credit card to the tune of $1127.50. Can`t say here about my response. The scammers  are working double time, beware the caller.

Phone rings again with a local exchange number and name. Its the same bogus credit card doctors that call 3 times weekly. Can`t say what I told them. I wanted to tell them some more,so I redialed the number to get an answering machine . Can`t say here what I said.10 Minutes later, I get a return call from the local resident, irate and puzzeled by the call. Can`t say here what he said. I tried to explain and apologize, he hung up with a police threat.15 minutes later he called back, had calmed down, gave me a chance to explain and apologize x 3. All is well now.

5 mins later some bogus charity called. Can`t say here what I said.

My no call list is a joke.

Does anyone else get bogus calls under local names?

Man I'd go berserk with that many calls. My do not call thingy works like a charm. Course I've also got an unlisted number so that helps some too. We've gotten several of the robo calls which are just phishing for a real person. Funny thing is,shortly after the robo calls we start getting the phony IRS calls. Low life scum that are too lazy to get off their backsides to get a real job but would rather steal from the elderly.

Ain't it interesting though how just the mention of the IRS makes otherwise intelligent and sensible people suddenly become so scared they will give perfect strangers the keys to the kingdom?

I love spamming people who call me, my phone gets a lot of wrong number calls. Hint: don't ever accidentally call me :D. I have a lot of fun with people sometimes.

I told the misses to call me on my cell. I don't answer the land line. Too many people selling stuff. And scammers.

I love the weekly calls from India telling me they're from Microsoft and I have a virus on my computer.  The objective of the game is to keep them on the phone for as long as possible....just leading them on and getting their hopes up of a payoff that never happens.  LOL!

For the other scammers, I just talk gibberish.  "Can the soup kitchen play at dark?"  "My boingo slingy is a toothpick in the breeze."  Some of them try to carry on a conversation.  It's hilarious!

just reverse the roles, tell them the call is being recorded for quality and training purposes and see how they take it....

if i get one anytime in the near future at work, i may just start talking fishing with them... best $100 rod, if you could only have one lure, leader or no leader, how do i get sponsors, etc.....

haha, my wife got some of those calls last year...then we got them at the house, my house phone call block is terrible, and only blocks like 10 numbers, I wish it was like my cell phone, just hit block caller to every number that I don't know, which is most that call my cell. Everyone that knows me, knows I don't answer the phone, so nobody calls anymore. Except for the scammers.

I've gotten a few of those "the IRS is going to sue you and please call us as soon as you recieve this message."  Um, the IRS doesn't robocall, they send official letters and then just garnish you paycheck if you keep ignoring them.  Shoot  I ignored them for 6 years in my early 20's.  I would have paid my taxes soon if I had the money.

There was a woman that use to call and would not quit, no matter what I said.  Until, one day I told her that I thought prostitution was a more honorable profession than telemarketing.   She hung up and never did call back.

That weenie from India called me, again, the other day.  I asked him for his address.  He wanted to know what I wanted his address for.  I told him I would ship my computer to him so he could shove it ------------------------------.  He hung up.  Hasn't called back for a while, now.

I haven't had a house phone in years.  Any calls like that to my cell phone go immediately to the "auto reject" list.  If I don't know you, I'm probably not answering the phone anyway.

No  puter virus  calls lately but had a new angle recently. The scammer said he was my grandson and needs bail money. I laughed and told him "say hello to Bubba" for me.

I kept getting unwanted  texts from same person on my cell,so I sent about 20 consecutive back at them. Of course I can`t say what I wrote=====they stopped.

I was forced to buy a throw away cell at Walley`s last year and I swear it was not an hour before the bogus calls started. No end to it.

Don't pick up the phone if you see a number you don't have saved in your contacts . If it's important the caller will leave a voice message or text message for you. Don't call back if it's a message from someone you don't know.

I have a blast with these callers.

Last night I received a call from a local hospital that was started by nuns. Best hospitals in the greater Richmond geographical area. They are like high class hotels. Fantastic care by outstanding nursing staffs.

But I am not going to donate so I told the lady on the other end of the line that the nuns run a tight ship. This took her back, and then I said I bet those nuns were like the singing nuns on TV. And after the singing nuns' gig was up they went to the Sound of Music.

Silence on the other end. Then the lady, who was as nice as she could be, said "do you want to be taken off our call list?" And I replied "yes" and she thanked me and hung up.

My philosophy is that if an unknown person is calling asking for money they are open targets.

I cannot tell l you guys what I say to males who make these calls. They get very upset, cuss me out and then hang up. But I do have lots of fun with them before they hang up and wish I had more males callers asking for money, etc.

I had the microsoft call a couple weeks ago..I spoke with him for a minute, he was very concerned about the virus infecting my windows account. When the right time came, I informed him that I run a mac with safari, and told him he was full of chit..funny thing is, about 2 minutes later my wifes cell rang, she handed me the phone, and it was the same guy.. I just said "remember me?"

The old "hallo, this is habib" in your best middle east accent gets them off the phone pretty quick too.
