Just got an update this morning, now predictions are at 2-3 feet of white stuff for my area, sustained winds at and around 20mph with gusts possibly reaching 50mph mark... UGH !!!!

WNC checking in with 2" of snow on the ground and heavy sleet falling now. So far, no freezing rain, but some icing is expected.

we are expected to get 18" - 24" of the white stuff, will probably have to hike to the lake tomorrow and leave the kayak at home, I am thinking suspending jerkbait and a texas rigged tube

here in Southern Ky, we started out with a 1/4 in. of ice, we now have heavy snow with 5 in, on the ground, There is a few local power outages from the ice in the trees falling on lines, It sounds weird outside the wind has picked up and all the ice in the trees is cracking and popping.

started here about 40 minutes ago and it is coming down pretty hard and already covering the roads.  Gonna be a good one if it keeps up at this pace and for the length of time they predicted.

Everyone be safe out there but i do have to admit, i wish i was in my kayak on the river right boat now....nothing beats a snowstorm on the river :)

my local station reported that the snow would start any minute

it started 2 hours ago

hell we have an inch

I have a question do news stations not have windows

Nothing ticks me off more then when they say there is 50 percent chance of rain when i look outside and it is pouring down the rain

BTW i live less than 3 miles from the news station

As Lewis Black once said the greatest job in the world is the San Diego weatherman

Whats it like out there today. Nice back to you.

no video posted.  Do you work at a dealership in Harrisonburg?  my brother sold cars there for years and now does real estate...

And we have about 1.5-2" now and it is still coming down pretty good and windy

I'm on the upper northern fringe of this beast. (thank God) but areas just 30 miles south of me are being hammered. Only 2" thus far, (for me) but the wind is evil. This is going to be horrific for Central Kentucky.

was working up in Butler, AL today. around noon I was getting in my van ready to hit the road home and it was snowing. Sleet first, then the big flakes about 5 minutes later. Air temp was 37 and damp from that storm that rolled through last night.

It's outta here! The storm was pretty and did not cause any damage to speak off. Memphis took the necessary precautions and for the most part the city shut down. Kids had a ball and my neighborhood was invaded by snowmen! It's cold today, but lots of sunshine.

I hope those of you in the storm's path will heed the warnings, stay off the roads and be safe.

Got the snow they were calling for but thank goodness we didn't get the high winds, we did get some 20+ mph but never saw the 50's, it's pretty and all but I can't wait for it to be gone.

I took several pics but for some reason I'm having trouble getting them to the required posting size on my iPhone, I will post those tomorrow when I can get to a laptop.

hope everyone came through with no harm and no damage.

A historic mcfizzle storm here it all stayed south, I'm bummed.

My son relieved me of plowing today. He did it all. I'm too old. Too wreckless. Can't climb in the jeep.
