I wanted to know if anyone has built on one and what there impressions are.  They seem to have good reports on other sites, and I am specifically looking at the SWB956-blend for throwing things like sebile magic swimmers, spro bbz shad, and soft rubber swimbaits.  What do you guys think?  This blank was one of the only ones that had the moderate-fast action, right length, and weight rating.  Is there any other blanks I should be looking at?

I've built on several MHX blanks.  None of the swimbait rods.  The only thing, about the MHX is they seem a little on the heavier power rating than suggested.  Just my opionion though!  Still a very good blank for your $.

Check out Swampland tackle for a Castaway swimbait blank.  I know they are very good.  They are always sold out.  But, I know that they just got a shipment in yesterday I believe.  Their prices are usually pretty good too!  And Bill and Lance are stand up guys.

Most of my bass builds are on either MHX or Castaway.

The Castaway blank was another blank I was looking at, specifically the BB1 Big Show XP3, but I liked the length of the MHX more.  Do you think the MHX blank would be too heavy for light swimbaits?  I was thinking the graphite blend would help me cast the lower weights better by having a softer tip.  Any experience with any other blanks that might fit the bill would be greatly appreciated.

I've done many builds on MHX blanks with great results. I have not tried that specific one. The Castaway is another good option and to add one more you might consider a Batson blank.

I have heard from another site that the Batson XBB964 might be exactly what I am looking for.  I think it is new this summer, and they don't have it on there site yet, so I'm not positive, but do you have any hands on experience with this blank or any of the RX7/RX8 blend blanks that would be similar.  I only have the SW967F and the SWS70L so I have never handled an RX8 blank.
