quantum tour kvd heavy 7'4 extra fast. any uses other than a frog?

I had got this rod a while back in a give away, it retails for 169.99, but I'm just trying to find a use for it. My tidal river prefers smaller lures so 1/2 oz jig may be too much

I have a Quantum Smoke with the same specs and I use it for punching matt's or in heavy cover..
