I was watching KVD underhand  roll cast  spinnerbaits this morning and realized that I cannot do that anywhere near his level   and i'll admit that I am atrocious at  the backhand cast . The low trajectory cast is where I definitely could use some improvement .

Patience.

I want that big, deep fish but I always seem to get worn down, go to my strong suit and boat the fish I know I can pull right then.  It may be a nice fish, but it's not the one I was really going for, y'know?  I need to work on that.

I need to step up my cold water jerkbait game.

Shad Rap, blade, finesse, and jig I can catch them, but I just haven't figured out the jerkbait

I can't catch fish on a dropshot, just can not do it. Not sure if it's just not an effective option on our lakes or what, but I'd like to get better at it.

I'm the same way with a Carolina rig ~ but if you haven't already, just try D/S with a SK Rage Craw.  Don't need to "Fish it".  Use it like live bait.  Toss it to a likely spot and leave it.  You Will Get Bit.

Maybe I move it too much, it's very possible anyways. Hadn't ever thought about the craw on it, I always just go with a little worm and call it good.

I can catch fish on the C-rig, I just hate doing it. Full sized creature baits have always been the ticket for me with those. The old Strike King Wild Thing was a great C-rig bait until it was discontinued.

X2 always can throw a shakey head but never can catch one on the dropshot, I'll try what A-Jay said.

I need to improve my confidence level and decision making when what I'm using isn't working.

I'm always second guessing myself that I have the right bait tied on. Example..If throwing a T rig for a 1/2 hour and not getting bit I fight with myself... Should I just change colors, go to a different shape and action plastic (worm to maybe a craw) or tie on a jig!

Or throwing a spinnerbait..Should  I change the blade configuration, skirt color, or just put it down and throw a sq.bill!

Drives me crazy!! Like all of us I have my "confidence baits" but when they're not working, I just stand there for a while saying to myself "Ok Mikey now whattca gonna do????

I thought the same for the ponds around here, so I spent several hours trying to figure out how to fish it, and i soon found a way!

I've spent days and days trying, have a rod and reel just for DS, fish some lakes that have good DS bites (Table Rock, Beaver, Bull), just can't make it work regularly.

I have, and I think that's the problem. I think I might need to stop retrieving and start letting it sit. The only time I ever get a bite is after the initial fall, after the bait has been sitting for a few seconds.

Ill leave mine sit sometimes for a minute before i move it!

Going to work on having more patience with a jig...I tend to give up after a half hour or so.

Also catching something with lipless this year.

My biggest "needs improvement area" is patience when trying out new techniques. I am a junk fisherman, plain and simple. I spend countless hours rigging up baits and usually have 10+ rods on deck.

Last year I stuck with the Jig and texas rigged pretty well, however didn't give the drop shot or the carolina rig much attention. A few casts and onto something I am more comfortable with. I  gained a lot of experience and confidence in a texas rigged crawdad/creature bait. It is now one of my go-tos. I need to give the other presentations and techniques a chance because they may be super-successful as the t-rgigiged berkley powerbaits crazy chigger craw was for me last year.
