Theres already videos on the Bantam rod and lure line up on youtube as well as the Met MGL. It has a new spool design and new SVS infinity design like the one used in the Casitas. In the video the guy was casting a long ways with the MGL. Heres a pic of the spool

Can you link to these videos?

I think Shimano is also releasing some new cranking rods in the Zodias line. I saw Dave Mercer using some in his facts of fishing show this morning. Maybe that's already been discussed, not sure. I noticed they have an Eva lick nut rather than the medal. Glass and graphite composite construction with a nice deep flex.

What's the details on that Stille? It's got the most of my attention.

PS. I don't think I can resist that Scorpion 71.

I wonder why there's no 70XG Scorpion? Like that high gear ratio but I can't even begin to do left hand retrieve.

I emailed Jun yesterday specifically about the 70XG and he said Shimano doesn't list it as "available" to vendors yet - so it's not listed on their site, yet.  They will list it as soon as Shimano updates the other gear ratio status.  I feel you though, trying a left hand retrieve would probably be worse than me trying to brush my teeth with my left hand.

I  pre-ordered a 70 HG just because.

Finally a new Antares 4X8 DC, will be all over that.......

It's either this or the Met DC for me.  Waiting to hear more details.  Will be used for t-rigs and jigs under 3/8oz.

That's a sick lineup. Shimano has upped their game. It's going to be interesting to see what the other players do to keep pace.

I think Shimano will take 2016 for sure. We'll see in 2017. Right now, Daiwa is still riding the hype of T Wing and we never really see a ton of innovation from Doyo brands. But that's just my opinion, only time will tell.

Apparently it's like a 100 size Aldebaran. Interesting for sure.

It's a small, aggressive chicken, at least that's what it means to me.

Probably referring to the weight though as in bantamweight.

Maybe we need to start calling the old Bantam reels "aggressive chickens." Has a ring to it.

After looking around I am thinking ballpark for the Antares DC ..512 +/- and the Aldebaran BFS...290 +/- plus shipping for both. That is based on 76,000 yen (Antares) and 46,000 yen (Aldebaran) .
