I love the t wing for vertical drop presentation and I think it serves it's purpose great in that.

I was in Cabela's today and just had to seek one of these out just to see how it works.

How was that even possible? They won't be available for 2 more weeks.

Maybe you were able to help Doc fix the Flux capacitor? ?

I for one, have had no problems with the t-wing system. I can't say that it makes a huge difference either way but I understand the concept.  I certainly don't feel this will hinder the reels performance.

I meant I checked out the T-Wing thingy on the Tatula. I hadn't held one. I wondered how the guide "came apart."

I think Shimano has hit more "Home runs" than Daiwa has in 2015 and 2016 and I am now exclusively fishing both brands. I will let the dust settle and see what is left by spring when a few new things should be officially introduced by both parties.

I have had my Tatula for about a year and half and haven't had any grooving issues. Love the reel just not crazy about the frame. At this point I don't have a strong preference on the T-wing system yet...

I'd really like to see more pictures of it. I'm honestly kind of intrigued by it. Not to say it will replace my current Steez reels by any means.

BS.  You will get one.  Don't lie to yourself.

Well you know me, that red one is interesting. Maybe you'll buy my 50th.

Only if it magically turned itself into a Shimano...

I love the TWS on my Tatulas......Anyone who says it doesn't give extra casting distance must not be using braid.  I use braid on all my reels and I get 30 extra feet easily compared to any other reels that I own.  My favorite and most expensive reel is my Curado I but the Tatula blows it out of the water when it comes to chucking lures that need distance.

Well on a positive note, Mag Force 3D is back. I'll let you all form your own pre release opinions. It looks bigger (tall &wide) than I'd like, as does the new Zillion. Gonna let someone else play guinea pig.

What condition is it in?  How much?  My 50th is one of my favorite reels.  It is a set and forget Daiwa. Let a guy use it for a bit one day.  Said he had a b/c reel, but no longer used it because it would backlash after 3-4 good casts.  Later he asked me  "How do you backlash this reel?"  :teeth:

Mono on mine.  I don't find it to cast any further than many other reels.  I would have to take it someplace on dry land where I could measure actual distance to verify any possible differences.  Then I would have to have the same line on each reel and use the same rod and lure.  Not going to happen.  I am satisfied with its performance and that is all that matters to me.

He didn´t say he won´t purchase one, he said he wouldn´t replace his Steez for one.

They were able to keep it very light at 5.5oz but it's definitely full bodied.

I like it a lot. FX68L is pretty wide reel, but sits and palms really well in my hand.

I'm not gonna lie, I like my girls a little thick, but this reel is a bit to robust. It still gets to wide at the front from the picture posted above.

So you just can't get caught by your friends, that's all!

It's like a moped...

Fun to ride but you wouldn't want your friends to see you on one.

Shape reminds me of the T3. It should be pretty comfortable for the way I palm. I'm going to buy one for sure now that I know it has 3D brakes... after I buy the new Antares DC of course lol

I give them props for going in a completely different direction with the shape.  People said the Tatula frame was too wide, they definitely changed it.   I am very curious to see how this one palms.
