buckdawg Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Hi guys! I'm curious as to what some of you experts prefer in the way of soft baits. I have in my collection some watermelon/black flake senkos, craws and various colors of grubs. A couple weeks ago I dedicated myself to fishing the Senko's and let me tell you, I'm totally hooked (no pun intended ). Love the action and the success I'm having with those. More recently gave T-rigging a try with the craws and hooked a fish but didn't get him landed. So my question to you guys is, what five or so baits do you consider 'musts' in your soft plastic arsenal? Thanks! Quote

Super User .ghoti. Posted May 10, 2007 Super User Posted May 10, 2007 Here's mine, in no particular order. Some days one works and the others don't. Senko ( the original ) Fat Ika Cut-Tail worm 7" power worm 10" Power worm Zoom tube Super Fluke Zoom Trick worm Nories Bug GYCB Creature Power Hawg Power tube Paca Craw Power craw Sluggo Mann's paddle tail worm Fin-S-Fish Dominator Ball Breaker Bass Assassin shad I really tried to cut down my plastics bags this year, but can't quite bring myself to go out without these baits. All I managed was to cut down on numbers of different colors. Black, blue and red shad for dingy water, and greens, browns, and shad color for clearer water. That's still a lot of stuff, but what's a guy to do. Quote
Super User RoLo Posted May 10, 2007 Super User Posted May 10, 2007 Ghoti, I get a boot out of your list. Mine list used to be about six times that size, but now finally it's a little smaller than your list. It's a strange disease isn't it, with strange symptoms Okay, I'll limit myself to just 2 lures in each depth category: SURFACE Gambler Cane Toad Snag Proof Weed Demon MID-WATER Zoom Super Fluke Wave Worm Tiki Stick BOTTOM Zoom Critter Craw Culprit Original Worm Roger Quote
Super User David P Posted May 10, 2007 Super User Posted May 10, 2007 Zoom Super Fluke (Baby Bass) or White Quote
wickyman Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 I don't own all that many plastics, and most of the ones I do have, I haven't ever tried. 1.) Wave tiki worm- baby bass 2.) Wave tiki worm- shad 3.) Zoom 6" lizzard- black with chartreuse tail 4.) Don't know the name of the company- june's choice 5.) And the good old robo worm in electric blue streak, and brown. Most realistic worm I have ever seen, and they work great for any fish! Bobbers are a must for them also! That's just about half of the plastics I own, and lemme tell you, I have no problems keeping the fish off the hook! Wacky rigged, texas, carolina, you name it, they just catch the fish! Especially on a 3/0 Gamakatsu EGW! Quote
