DBL000006 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I've decided i need a, 100% Fluro. Both of these brands 500 line on one spool. I have 4 Baitcasters that need new line. Feedback on these brands would be great. Quote
JustinU1X Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 You didn't ask but yo zuri and izorline xxx would be great great alternatives. I don't think anyone NEEDS floro. It's not the most manageable mainline. Plus you can get a 1200 yd spool of xxx for $16. Quote

I was with a Buddy, he has Fluro Line and i had Grand Slam Coated. Well he out fished me Quote

cottny27 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Red Label will work fine for you if you keep some KVD line conditioner close by. Its pretty soft and easy to manage, but I've never tried anything higher than 12# test. Quote
Super User buzzed bait Posted January 13, 2016 Super User Posted January 13, 2016 red label is a pretty solid line for the money. i steer away from fluoro that begins with a "V" (vicious, vanish) 2 Quote

The Diameter for 15LB test is like some 12LB Test Lines. I'm confused by that though. Quote

JigMaster4 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Ive been using the 15 lb test for about 6 months now as my first flouro and has performed pretty good. Moving to yozuri hybrid now to see the difference. Quote
cottny27 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Seaguar is quite thin. The Seaguar Senshi mono is even thinner. I have one combo that I throw cranks all day on with 12# RL and have no issues. I just soak it with KVD the night before 6 or 7 sprays and you're good to go. Quote

PennBass Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I highly recommend you steer clear of the Viscious fluoro. Got it in the 8 lbs. test and the memory was worse than 20 lbs mono despite stretching. Quote
cottny27 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 .....and Vanish. Its terrible. Them two are on the same level imo Quote

cottny27 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Good cranking line/very manageable, but not sure I would recommend it in heavy cover with jigs. Quote

I used Grand Slam Coated 12Lb Test in Lilly Pads and around timber. I think the 15LB test is, perfect for all types of fishing Quote
cottny27 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Ok, its probably similar in line diameter. I go as light as I can get away with. Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted January 14, 2016 Global Moderator Posted January 14, 2016 I've had very good luck with Vicious in 12lb for finesse jigs, above that I'd go with Red Label. Quote
rangerjockey Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I got a several spools of vicious free from them several years ago.. Fished the 10 and 12 lb. on my jig and plastics rods. I never had any issues with it either. It's not as manageable as invisx or sniper . I never use any kind of conditioner. Quote
