I bought a bad spool of Yo Zuri Hybrid and it would snap everywhere, especially at the knot, with very little force, no matter how wet it was. I know I got a bad spool, but I am going to try it again. For those of you that use YZH, what knots do you use with it?

Assuming you mean line to terminal tackle
and not to a leader?

Depending on what you're using, try snelling
your hook.

For both YZ (regular) and YZ Ultrasoft - I use an improved-clinch if direct tying to a bait, or a palomar if tying to terminal tackle.  No problems with either knot.  An improved-clinch on 10lb YZ-US will hold up to stuff like this...;)

I use the 16/20 (Pitzen) knot for all lines.  It is easy to tie, even with gloves on and very strong.

I use Palomar to hook and Modified Albright line to line.  These knots have worked 100% for me on that line for years ... until I got a 600 spool of 10 lb last spring.  It broke on me quite frequently.  Bad spool, bummer... happens even to otherwise good quality product.

Palomar and SD jam is what I use one everything. Make sure the line is lubed and you are properly tying that palomar. Don't cross the line when tying keep everything side by side. If you don't it gives the line somewhere to dig into itself causing a weak point.

Have you tried a palomar knot?

Yeah I used the palomar and SDJ and they work fine on all other lines, which is how I know it was a bad spool. Ill give it another try, with extra carefully tied knots, and hopefully I will get a good spool this time...

Any fishing knot will be fine as long as you tie it PERFECTLY. I prefer the Palomar knot for single hooks and use the Pitzen (16/20) for treble hooks.
