I should have expected this, but every package of Twin tail grubs Ive ever seen has appendages that are creased and mangled.   Am I supposed to be ok with this, and fish them as is, or am I going to be boiling these things for a while?

If its affecting the action of the bait, then I'd boil them and dry them out straight. If not then I wouldn't bother with it.

What brands are package damaged? The retailer should replace damaged goods if the packaging caused the problem.

Multiple brands from multiple retailers.  Frankly it seemed that any of these grubs that weren't packed with skilled precision, ended up being mangled.  The ones I finally purchased were Chompers brand, ordered from Bass Pro.

Would the retailer replace them if they were packed that way by the manufacturer?

If the soft plastics are damaged inside unopened packages the retailer will usually exchange them, the mfr resupplies the retailer if they want to continue doing business.

It is worth your efforts to contacting both the retailer and mfr.

As an alternative give the Rage Tail Menace a shot. They have been killer for me!
