Ok so I want to be a Co-Angler in a tournament on Candlewood lake Ct this upcoming season. I prefer Candlewood because it's my home lake and I just want to give it a whirl for fun.

I have no idea how to even begin to try it where to enter.  Anyone have some information? Thanks.

I have no idea lol. I'm a total newbie to tournament fishing.

Do a search for clubs and tournaments near Candlewood Lake. Contact a couple to see if they are accepting new members.  Clubs are a great way to get started.

Go to the NY Bass website and ask about the "Fish For The Cure" tournament held on Candlewood Lake annually...Tell them I sent you.

Www.nebassin.com sign up with that club, I'm a part of it. Everyone is super friendly and there are tournaments on candy all year. Tight lines.

Here is a link to most of the Connecticut clubs. They are always looking for new members. http://ctbass.com/about-us/clubs/

Those aren't even close to all of the clubs in CT. Those are all the clubs that are affiliated through the B.A.S.S Federation. In order to fish the Federation, you have to join one of those clubs.

That event is unfortunately no more.

Contact Orange County bass masters. They're out of Middletown ny but fish candle wood a lot . A good bunch of guys and the competitive aspect is enough to be fun but not overwhelming.
