Of the two, which 50 lb. braid do you prefer for frog fishing?

I've used both, and I tend to prefer Sufix. However....

If you've not tried it, the Power Pro Maxcuatro has become my new line. The 50lb version is about the same size as everyone else's 30-35lb braid. I used it all last year and it made a believer out of me.

832 is softer feeling when compared to PP when it's new. Once broken in I couldn't tell you the difference between them. I only know what's on each reel because I keep a record of what my combos are spooled with. PP is cheaper.

they're both good. I think pp and super slick are more colorfast, and in my experience pp holds a leader knot better. I think the gore fiber on the 832 tends to cut your fluoro. I have one reel spooled up with Daiwa j braid and it seems just as good as the other two, if not a little better, for less money. A double san Diego jam is my knot of choice for all three.

Let me ask this about line for frog fishing. Why 50lb and not 25lb or 30lbs??? Wouldn't the 25 or 30 be better for the fact that it would be smaller and not as easy to see???

I personally fish 30-40lb braid, 40 being the heaviest I fish.  Most fish 50lb due to the size factor since it's comparable to 12lb and they believe that if you use lighter braid then it will dig into the spool.  I have had no issues pulling fish out of cover using 30lb both frog fishing and punching, but some think it's a bit light.  Back to the OP's question, either one will work.  832 is a 8 strand braid, where PP is a 4.  Once worn in either will do what you ask.  832 does fade faster then PP does.  Just as a side note, I've been really impressed with P-Line's TCB and TCB-8  braid.

Just last week I spooled up 50lb Seaguar Smackdown Green Braid, currently on sale at TW for 45% off. It's thin, smooth, quiet, knots are strong, made in Japan. I really do like it a lot so far. It is considerably thinner and smoother than 832 or PP, both of which I have used a lot. Seems to cast really well. Caught 20+ frog fish on it this evening, so fish don't mind it -- till they're hooked! Then they don't like it at all.

If you're thinking about it, buy it while the sale is on. Otherwise it's pretty costly.

I have both and to be honest the only real difference that I see is that PP holds its color way better. I have two rods that have 832 and they're bleached out pretty good as where the two with PP seem to look almost new in color, and the PP has been on the rods about 6 months longer...

Whichever you can find cheaper/on sale!  You can't go wrong with either one.  I'd stay away from the PowerPro Slick 8 though...prone to wind knots and once that line is tangled up it's almost impossible to undo, you'll need to cut it and splice.

Power Pro. It's cheap, always been boringly reliable for me, and it's available 5 minutes down the road from me at the Walmarts. No need to reinvent the wheel here.

^^ This ^^

Use them both for various applications, but would pick the PP for frogging, personally. However, I also usually go with 65#.

I tried 832 because everyone on bassresource raves about it. I hated it. Mad that I wasted $20. Prefer PP super slick- casts farther and makes less noise through the guides.

30# Power Pro never had a reason to change.
