badhatharry Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Found them in a drawer...from the late '70's. They are fished like a Silver Minnow. And yes, that is a nylon skirt. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted January 6, 2016 Super User Posted January 6, 2016 Looks like a Blade Dancer...I know it's not, but Berkley had one similar at one time Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted January 7, 2016 Super User Posted January 7, 2016 I believe that is a "Dirty Bird" Not certain who made it, Whopper Stopper, maybe? They pre-date the Berkley Blade dancer by at least 5 years, maybe more. They were marketed as a pad/grass bait. I have one - haven't used it in years, but I have one. Mine came with a split ring at the top of the bill. I suppose at some time that split ring got removed so that you could use a snap? Another situation they were used for was as a substitute for a buzz bait - or a wake bait. They were meant to be fished on top and keep moving. 1 Quote
Super User WRB Posted January 7, 2016 Super User Posted January 7, 2016 The skirt is vinyl not Nylon! Tom Quote
