collinfiske_RFC Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 At the end of the season, I bought a Lew's combo on sale. After using for a month or two the line guide on the front of the reel is stuck all the way to the right. It was going to cost like 90 to get it all shipped and fixed. Was wondering if anyone knew a reel mech who could do it for cheaper! ( or knew how I can fix it myself) Quote
k3bass Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Contact lews! They have awesome customer service! They may just send you a new reel. Quote
Super User Maxximus Redneckus Posted January 1, 2016 Super User Posted January 1, 2016 Or take a straight slot screwdriver and tight the cap on the line guide could be loose . Quote
Super User Maxximus Redneckus Posted January 2, 2016 Super User Posted January 2, 2016 Did it work??? Quote
Super User MickD Posted January 2, 2016 Super User Posted January 2, 2016 Like Max says, but the reason it may be jammed is that because the cap is loose the pawl jammed. Be sure the pawl is engaged in the worm slot before tightening. 1 Quote
