Anyone here every fish this lure?  Trying to decide between this or a spro rat.

I haven't fished the Rago before but I own 7 of the spro rats.  From personal experience with the spro rats and reading on forums.  Bang for your buck is with the spro rat.  Between the sound it makes and the action it draws fish in.

I have the 40 and 50 size. The 40 is the perfect size for every day fishing and can be thrown on a Medium or Medium Heavy rod. The 50 is quite a bit bigger. The SPRO is awesome, period. Great bait and not expensive. Arguably the best rat on the market today. I'd recommend the 40 but if you're wanting a big wake bait then go for the 50. I must admit the ABT Camo Rat has my attention and I will be buying one but that's around $70 as opposed to $30 for the SPRO 50. You should also check out the CL8 Water Vole. I love the Vole! Good luck.

I have 4 of the 50 size and 3 of the 30 size.  I am going to pick up the 40 size sometime soon.  I use the 50 for largemouth fishing and hawg smallie fishing and the 30 size for normal small fishing.  I throw the 50 size on my swimbait setup and the 30 size on my topwater setup.

I just checked out the abt camo rat and thar thing looks awesome.  I'm also thinking of just getting a ms mini slammer.  It kind of has a rat profile.  Uh so many options! Lol

Take a look at the CL8 Baby Possum, awesome bait.

I feel the spros are a far better value than the ragos.

That said Bettencourt makes a handmade rat that's insanely detailed and works great.  Either solid body or jointed.  I have one and it's awesome.  The spros are likely more durable but the Betties are just gorgeous and completely handmade for the same price.

So the spros work good and are decent quality?  I can get 2 spros for the price of one rago.  I'll look into those betties.

I gotta ask because I've seen these lures before, but are these for bass?  I laughed when I first got wind of these but since then I've heard quite a few mentions of them and I'm intrigued.
