ThatFishin'Guy Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Hey guys, this isn't the first time I've cleaned my bearings but it is the first time I've tried cleaning them with acetone. I am kind of weary doing this because I was always told that acetone melts plastic but is hard to beat as a solvent. I have a Lews LFS that I will be cleaning and am wondering if I will be good using acetone on the bearings, I don't want to ruin them by having the bearing casings just melt into a goo. If you guys have any alternatives that I could use if this is unsafe for bearings that would be great! Thanks! Quote
